it's simple

He just didn't want to

if he wanted to record those songs he would have.

Poor mans gold and Good, bad but beautiful aren't good songs anyway so it's no loss

Thats a good question, I can only guess that he really did not care for them.

Those songs might have had a passing interest for Elvis...that is to say that he might have been interested in them at one point, but then lost interest. Such as in the case of COUNTRY BUMPKIN when he was in the studio recording the TODAY album. He was really interested in recording the song, then lost interest before anything was recorded. However, in the case of songs like THE WONDERS YOU PERFORM, POOR MANS GOLD, etc. they actually got as far as having the backing track recorded before he lost interest. :hmm:

One song I wish he would have revisited, or at least finished, was IT'S DIFF'RENT NOW. That is such a beautiful song...what little there is of it anyway...and I would love to hear how the song would have sounded if he had completed it.

TCB!

Have you heard the song before?

It's been recorded by both Shakin Stevens and Terry Mike Jeffries

Just for you Rick here is Shakin Stevens singing it

I think it's the lyrics that make the song bad

I really wish that Elvis had put vocals to The Wonders you Peform and Poor Manīs Gold.

Here is Jamie Aaron Kelley doing ''Poor man's gold''

he's an impersonator so it's sorta like Elvis singing it
