The original source tape is damaged.
We have chosen to keep track 6 & 7 on this release for historical reasons in spite of the damage. However “Hound Dog”, performed between “Hurt” and “Unchained Melody” was
beyond any element of repair and has consequently been left out.

Yes, on the original Fort Baxter import release A HOT WINTER NIGHT IN DALLAS, there is a fade out in the middle of YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN and it fades back in around the middle of JAILHOUSE ROCK. My guess is that the FTD CD of the Dallas show will be from the same source tape as the Fort Baxter release, as the Fort Baxter CD also omitted HOUND DOG. :hmm:

I can't wait for the TAHOE release – an utterly fascinating period of the King's concert years!

By all accounts Elvis enjoyed his shows at Lake Tahoe,I'm hoping for a terrific show.

So, all of Elvis' shows were recorded? Something like the MSG shows? I ask this question because I often see: "Elvis on this place, 1976", "Elvis on ... 1974". Just curious.

Some of Elvis's concernts were recorded by fans, or by pros. Not all were recorded though.

I've heard some of the shows from his May '74 Tahoe shows that have been around on the import circuit, and they are some great shows, so hopefully FTD has picked a great one for this release! (y)
