Hello, Here's a brief overview of Ride to Remember: I've always wanted to share with the Elvis fans one of the passions he and I shared, motorcycles. I also wanted to show the Elvis fans that the man they loved was a good as they thought. So, I combined the two and came up with a Ride to Remember.

We started in Nashville, TN and rode to Tupelo, MS, where we met up with two Elvis historians. They showed us around his birthplace and the school he attended and some other places, that few people are aware of, like where Vernon and Gladys were married and where Elvis used to play a child.

The next day we rode to Memphis, TN. where we visited Sun Studio, where Elvis recorded his early hits, then onto the Memphian Theater, which Elvis would rent at night and we watched movies. Then we when to Super Cycle where Elvis bought me my first Harley and all of his customized trikes, then rode to Graceland where it all began.

During the stops along the way, and in a more intimate setting, I told many of the great and wonderful stories I had growing up with Elvis. I spent 17 years with this truly amazing man, and I wanted to show what it was like to grow up with the King of Rock and Roll as your big brother, from a member of Rock and Roll's first family. Billy Stanley.

Has he done anything successfully without mentioning his relationship with Elvis? Just wondering...what does he do for a living?

ahh billy f...ing stanley one of the best who never ceases to remind us of how good a stepbrother he was to E.P. and how he is always up to something that involves ELVIS and not always in a good light[i swear him and lamar are brothers]the whole stanley clan are gold diggers and vulturtures who have picked and picked the bones dry, pure dross comes from their mouth.

I don't know Billy Personaly but, i have got to know him through chatting with him on Malc,s show. Give him a break friends. I for one would like to see the film finished. We haven,t had any good Elvis documentaries in a while. I give it a thumbs(y) Up:clap:

I'd rather wait for an actual good one - not one of the Stanley clan has done any project that reflected well on Elvis.

perhaps the 3 boys should look no further than their mother for massively changing the trajectory of the lives they would have had, had she stayed married to their father.

@cre

why are you assuming that this is a necessary step, or if it is, that it wasn't taken?

@monk

I'm not assuming anything. I think if Billy wants to do this he has every right to do so.
Who are people to tell Billy what he can or can not do? Nobody has to buy this if they
don't want to.

[I]Some Elvis fans amaze me.....

Um....to my recollection, and I may be wrong here, I've never read where Billy has talked about Elvis in a negative manner. The only one I don't trust out of the Stanleys' would be both David and Ricky (even though Ricky is now an evangelist).

I applaud Billy for staying out of the limelight for this long (yes, I do know he co-wrote, "Elvis: We Love You Tender" and that book isn't favorably looked upon but give the guy a break! Not everyone who was around Elvis were gold-diggers! Elvis chose these people (although, in this case he didn't have a choice because Vernon stupidly married Dee) so I say give the guy a chance and let's see what he comes up with.

I agree with both of you. I think we all could use some of the advice in the song, "Walk A Mile In My Shoes" sometimes when it comes to talking about people who worked/lived with Elvis.

I believe in giving someone the benefit of the doubt but chatting with someone isn't going to do it as all of the people that surrounded Elvis were well used to dealing with the public and learned how to present themselves in the best light. Also some if not most, know how to "snow" people really well.
