I've just finished reading the trilogy of Bill Burk's Early Elvis books. They are great for any that haven't read them i can recommend them as a fabulous insiders view to Elvis.

It's also good to see some myths about Elvis squashed. And also the first hand accounts of some of the people that saw his early concerts.

I think they are great too.
I have The Humes Years and The Tupelo Years, but I have not been able to find the Sun Years at a reasonable price.

Love this trilogy, and also Bill's other book Through My Eyes.

I've been trying to track those down - I think he was probably one of the best writers of Elvis.

It'd be cool if the Commerical Appeal did a collection of his Elvis columns

there's a Bill Burk book called Dot Dot Dot it's about Memphis and the columns that Bill Burk wrote for the Press Scimitiar newspaper. There is also Elvis, A 30-year Chronicle by Bill about Memphis and the columns that he wrote for the Press Scimitiar newspaper.

I have this one Elvis Memories: Press Between The Pages which is an expanded version of Elvis: A 30-Year Chronicle i just haven't got round to reading it yet.
