I think all this footage we're seeing is coming from the bootleg DVD, "Elvis Live" and, even though we're seeing this, it does not mean in any way that it will be included in the DVD release of "Elvis On Tour" next year.
I wouldn't get my hopes up for a huge two or three-disc DVD 'deluxe' set of EOT if I were you or anyone. More than likely, we'll just get the bare-bones DVD with no extras included whatsoever.
Either way, whatever we get, I'll just be happy to finally have the movie officially on DVD because the boot DVD-R's that I have of "Through My Eyes" and even "Elvis On Tour" that was transferred from a laserdisc are getting to where they're non-watchable - but I'm beginning to think that my DVD player might be the reason for that.
Like I said....don't get your hopes up....Turner/MGM/EPE probably aren't going to go 'all the way' with a deluxe release of this movie.
Sorry to rain on your parade....

good stuff, thanks for posting
I also hope stuff like this ends up somewhere on the DVD.
I still point to the fact that these clips say for "viewing purposes only" instead of just "Property of Turner Entertainment".
IMO the reason this may be important is that someone from Turner must have been looking over the footage in their vaults for footage that is in good condition which could be potentially used in a future DVD release-the "viewing purposes only" disclaimer is new to these clips and there must be a reason for the change.
Call it wishful thinking-with a little thought behind it.;):D

i reckon what will happen is Elvis Ont Tour will be released just as it was seen in the cinemas. Then in two or three years time they will release a special edition.
Once they see that it will sell then they will release any extras that they have.
