Funny and usless attempt!
They all copying Elvis; it not necessary to be a singer for copying someones voice most comedians more successful than those poor boys...
I think Conway Twitty had that sound a bit too...... "My one and only prayer.......is that someday you'll care......."
In the beginning Conway definitely wanted to sound like Elvis-he admitted it in interviews-but he decided his first love was country music and worked to develope his own singing voice-which he did.

does Jimmy Ellis count. I know he started out as not being an Elvis impersonator, even though later on he did Elvis tribute shows.

Sorry but 3 of these 4 clips where obviously impersonators of that time.
I know Terry Stafford got that record deal cause he won an Elvis impersonator contest and Elvis showed him up by recording the song after him, sort of saying, I'm the real deal.
Vince Everett well that name says it all
There are lots of others that sounded a lot like Elvis but these are obvious remakes to cash in on his name. They probably used these versions on Compilation Hits LPs and didn't want to pay for the artists' version.
BUT THANKS FOR POSTING (y)
I didn't know 2 of the ones you listed existed:D

Elvis recorded "Suspicion" before Terry Stafford. For some unknown reason RCA never made it a single at that time. It should have been a single because it's a great song and obviously a hit song.
I may upset a few people on here by this comment, but overall I like Terry Stafford's version better. The reason has nothing to do with Terry or Elvis, it's the track itself. Terry's track had a really different production with that keyboard (whatever it is) and the girls background vocals.
If Elvis's voice were on that track it would have killed Terry Stafford. I think Ronnie McDowell must agree with me especially since when he recorded the song it's obvious that he was copying EP's vocal but Terry's production.

Ral Donner...? Is this the youngman who sang.. "You don't know what you got...until you loose it" How about the one song "Summertime blues?"
was this also Ral Donner or terry stafford?
If you don't look at them, some sound pretty darn good but no way would I go, nver did or will to a concert by someone who simply sounds a lot like Elvis. It's the man I love and his music both. No comparison there.:P

Summertime Blues was by Eddie Cochran

Yeah "Summertime Blues" had an Elvis thing about it. I always thought it sounded like it could have been an Everly Brothers record too. I say that because of the acoustic guitar that does the hook...E E E A....B B B E. Sounds like Don Everly...plus the actual song itself lyrically fits the brothers. I don't think the tune would fit Elvis lyrically. He was kind of above that type of lyric if that makes any sense.

You Tube never stops amazing me ! Many, many years ago I was given a disc by a singer called Cliff Rivers. The song was called "True Lips". I lost this disc sometime ago. Tonight I thought I'd do a You Tube search never dreaming I would find it. After all, he was a one hit wonder. Having said that, I don't even think it was a hit.
So here it is. And I'm sure you'll agree he was another Elvis sound alike.

:lmfao::lmfao::lmfao: He has not changed much.
We should start a new thread about the worst song versions and performers

He was a singer who did quite a few demos for songwriters who wanted their song to be sung by Elvis-he would sing it in the style he thought Elvis would-but he says he just "naturally" has a similar voice to Elvis.....I guess everyone can form their own conclusions about his style;)

Last, but not least, the famous Tommy Sands. He is really only known for one thing and that was being married to Nancy Sinatra. When the marriage broke up, reportedly because of Tommy's infidelities , it was rumoured that her Dad, 'Ol Blue Eyes Frank, vowed that Tommy's career was over. Well, Frank kept his vows even though Tommy couldn't and no one heard of him (Tommy) again.
