FIRST AND FOREMOST RICKYNC....WELCOME TO OUR BOARD!!! WE HOPE YOU ENJOY IT HERE!!! (y)

I picked up a copy of Tunzi's book, and found it to be an EXCELLENT resource!! I don't know if you have read Ernst's book A LIFE IN MUSIC that he released a few years ago, but Tunzi's book goes MUCH MUCH DEEPER than Ernst's book. Not only does it cover each recording session, but also gives details on the best import CD's to purchase, which 70's concerts RCA has in their vaults, detailed information on THAT'S THE WAY IT IS and ELVIS ON TOUR, and much more!!!

The only thing I can say about the book, and this is STRICTLY a personal opinion, is that I am always a little leary of information coming from someone outside of RCA....this is not to say that Joe hasn't done his research, or that any of his information is incorrect or fabricated in any way, shape or form....in fact I would dare say that, aside from Ernst, Joe has gained the reputation of being one of the most trusted names in the Elvis world in terms of information!! But I always have just a bit of hesitation believing any information from ANY source, aside from Ernst....for obvious reasons. But assuming that all of the information in Joe's book is correct (and I am 99.9% sure it is), there is a LOT of GREAT information to be read and learned from Joe's book.

And I know Joe is often criticized for hefty prices in terms of his projects, but in the case of ELVIS SESSIONS III, I do believe the price is justified considering the time and effort that he obviously put into this book, along with the book being over 650 pages long!! (h)

Hope this helps you out, and once again....WELCOME TO TCB-WORLD!!! ;)

TCB!
Mike
