I'am very curious to see some opinions about the woman in elvis life. We all know that priscilla sure has made a good living off of elvis but what about the rest of the girlfriends? Linda seems to be well off and l don't think she would of made it that far without elvis being her life. What i'am getting at is you don't see them living on welfere or working a 9-5 job so really being with elvis really helped alot of them out in one way or another. whats your thoughts?

Linda Thompson was getting modeling offers before she met Elvis and had already won several beauty pagents plus she got into songwriting through her marriage to David Foster.

Ann Margret, Cybill Shepard, and Connie Stevens were actresses

Sheila Ryan married James Caan and now lives off his money

Anita Wood, Bonnie Lee Bunkley, Dixie Locke, Barbara Hearn, and Ginger Alden are housewives

Barbara Leigh was an actress and now works for Playboy

Be careful with that book

The guy from the Elvis Australia website got a copy of it and read it and he told me a few things about it.

I told him the quality of the book would depend on new interviews from Ann Margret, Linda Thompson and Barbara Leigh etc.
He told me that there's nothing new from Ann, Linda or Barbara.
So the info about Ann Margret's relationship will probably be stuff she said about Elvis in her own autobiography.
The things about Barbara Leigh will probably be things she wrote in her own book and the info about Linda will probably be stuff she's said in past interviews.

Well, you might like the book

Elvis Australia telling about what Sheila Ryan said got me to wondering how extreme what she says actually is.
So I might get it and read it for myself.

Also Alanna Nash also didn't get an interview from Priscilla so she uses Child Bride and interviews Suzanne Finstad.
That's so typical and predictable from Nash to automatically use a book that was written to put Priscilla in a negative light as a source since she couldn't get an actual interview with her.
That's been written in some early reviews for the book but
Elvis Australia told me the things Suzanne Finstad and Nash says about Priscilla in the book are just unproveable.

As Deb said, it makes for interesting reading. Whether or not it's 100% accurate, it's the Elvis story told from their perspective and I find it interesting to gather the various perspectives from the stories told by the people around Elvis to try and get as complete a picture of his life as possible. :hmm:

Whaat I have to say kinda goes hand in hand with this...i was watching a thing on biography channel on thanksgiving with the memphis mafia and joe said that elvis said right before his wedding ceromony that he didn' want to get married.
