For anyone who has heard takes 1-28 of Pocketfull of Rainbows at some point I can't remember exactly where he mumbles something. At first I thought he said **** Whiskey Throat. I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard this and if they can tell me what was said. Cause I'm sure I might have heard it wrong. Thanks.
(If I find where exactly on the recording I'll let you know.)

I know what you are talking about and I think that you are right. I think he does say that. But if you listen to the whole thing you can tell he had a sore throat or cold or something.

What I find funny is what a trooper Elvis was
recording when sick - working on a song take after take and then getting the album done
none of this playing for a year in a studio and riding one album for 2 to 3 years of singles between albums.
people today are spoiled - and the product isn't any better - in fact, usually worse for the overproduction

I pretty much agree with you. I will say as much as I love Josh Groban waiting for his next album is a pain! And you[ve got to give Elvis the upper hand here and many times I've heard him sing or preform when he wasn't feeling his best. And I agree about todays artist. The thing I have to say I don[t agree is that it[s funny
