The press release notes ... "Elvis’ love for Gospel music was his real link with his earliest years, providing constant support throughout his demanding career. His passion for Gospel music formed the foundation for his long, personal relationship with J.D. Sumner. As a teenager in 1954, Elvis considered J.D. a hero. After his death in 1977, J.D. knew Elvis was his hero. J.D. always remembered Elvis with humour, grace and love. This album is J.D.’s tribute to the late Elvis Presley."
JD Sumner passed away in 1998 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
