well i guess he didn't offer it to the second highest bidder via ebays second chance offer. maybe he didn't get the price he was hoping for. Anyone know what the final bid was?

He got zero money for both of his auctions
He got an offer for $2,950.00 on his first set of pictures he was selling but that guy had no intention of paying and his second bidder had already moved on and bought something else according to Marty.
For his autographed pics of Ann Margret and Jackie Wilson, Shelley Fabares etc. he got zero offers.

:hmm: Without being rude to Mr Lacker, I would love to see him donate these things and not be just reaching for the almighty dollar.
Many lifelong fans would love just seeing them compiled, and not everyone has the money to make high bids.
Couldn't he write it off as a tax deduction for estimated value? Or no?

Apparently Marty Lacker needs the money to make repairs to his house and furnace
Besides I think it would be egotistical to donate pictures of himself to charity

Do you think we can assume that the bidder had a personal grudge against Marty?
When Lacker is making his financial difficulties public, and trying to get his furnace repaired before the winter takes hold, it seems extremely mean spirited to deliberately prolong his struggle.

not necessarily a lot of people will bid on items on ebay without the intention of paying that's one of the problems they have.

now he's sweetened the pot and put all the pictures together, plus some other documents
I didn't know for example that there had been a 1st anniversary memorial for Elvis' death at the Circle G - he's included the memorial page of the event sequence

I hope he sells them, at least he is not selling blown Christmas light bulbs from Graceland like EPE did a few years ago.

people can't help it if they need money. I don't know his lifestyle. if he isn't very well off, and has no other choice, I can't fault him. there have been times in my life I wish I had something of value to sell, to get by on. it might bother me, but you do what you have to do.
