Elvis and Sirius Radio

Just saw Elvis in a new television commercial for Sirius Radio.......

The commerical opens with Elvis singing in his black leather from the '68 Special and then the words "He changed music." appear on the screen.

Next, it goes to Michael Jordan shooting hoops - "He changed sports."
Richard Pryor - "He changed comedy."

Howard Stern - "He changed radio."

And then satellite radio/Sirius - "It changed how we listen to radio."

While all this is going on Elvis is singing. I don't recall any words from the advertiser being spoken.

Anyway, I thought it was absolutely great......I was blown away - once again - by Elvis's presence and voice!!!

I know there was a recent thread questioning Elvis's relevance. All I can say is you would never know it was 40+ yrs. later!!! There is nothing 'dated' about his performance and I just love that it was aired during Sunday Night football!!!

The man is just magnificent!

I'm disappointed we don't get Sirius on 'normal' radios in the UK. Wouls love to have the radio on in the car listening to GK talking about Elvis..........bliss!!

The commercial was very nice.I saw it while watching the Colts vs Patriots game which was in prime time.Good to see Elvis in that slot.

Sirius has an "internet radio" option where you can subscribe and listen to Sirius via your computer. That is what I do since I am really not in my car enough to warrant having a Sirius subscription in it. But with the "internet" option, I can enjoy the all-Elvis channel whenever I am home!

I'm with you Deb...I truly enjoy listening to GK also!!! Yes, he does tend to repeat his stories, but considering he is one of the few original inner-circle guys left in the Elvis world, it is just a treat to listen to him!!

Perhaps you might want to check into the internet option for Sirius if you are interested... :hmm:

I can point you in the right direction if you want, and they even have a free 7-day trial to see if you like it before you pay for the subscription. ;)

That's why I would have liked to be able to receive it in the car. About time they made it available globally
