Thx Tommy! hope to finish this one next week...but i have a little problem with the rhythm tracks..don't want to use only material from the 50's or early 60's..and the tracks have to be on the recent cd releases by sony/bmg/rca for the best sound..

Yes, the best sound always makes it very nice indeed. (y) I will be waiting for the finished one. You always have the best sound around for Elvis. (y)

*Maybe some blue eyed sould could fit in: "I Got A Thing ABout You Baby", "Anyday Now" "Long Black Limousine", leaving out some others?
Don't know if "Polk Salad Annie" could qualify, maybe not, now "Burning Love" was originally a R&B single by Arthur Alexander, but Elvis record is more R&R that R&B, but maybe also could be a choice.
"That's All Right", and "Baby Le'ts Play House", where originally R&R songs, but in Elvis hands they became Rockabilly by definition, so I don't think they qualify R&B. "Trying To Get To YOu" "Guitar Man" & "After Loving You" are more country than blues than blues or R&B, but they pass as them anyhow, as they are way blues and R&B infected performances anyway, so could be possible choices.
Many 50's and early 60's Presley charted high in the top ten R&B charts, stuff like Don't, Jailhouse Rock, All Shook Up, Wear My Ring, Stuck on You, Are You Lonesome Tonight. Can't say if that made of them candidates for an Elvis R&B collection.
So anyway, here's a lot of tracks to help you choose for your CD project.

Looks great as always and a nice idea for a set of elvis music
I woul'd think of another title; there is already an album with the title Rythm & Blues containg 1973 recordings. People might get confused.....
But it's your own thing.....
