As we have seen lots of Elvis pics that people took when they went to see him in concert. I was wandering why people cannot take pics of lisa marie when she is in concert? I got to see lisa in concert twice in 2003 and in 2006 but the security would not let anyone take pics of her i thought that was very wrong. Because we will always see pics of Elvis from his concerts. Hopefully lisa didn't say no to taking her pics. If anyone knows why i would love see ya'lls answers thanks alot your Elvis friend Gerald!!

The reason is because she didn't want any taken.

It wasn't standard back in the 70's to ban cameras
banning cameras has been since the 80's
I think a lot of performers don't want to have all the flashes going out
and the ratiional is that it's copyright infringement of the set design, lighting
I think it's bogus and performers should encourage fans
after all, with the price of tickets - what's wrong with a photo souvenir
or maybe it's to stop us getting our own free souvenir

In Tahoe in 1973 they practically did searches to make sure you weren't bringing in a camera to take photos of Elvis. I assumed that the Colonel didn't want anyone to get a free souvenir.

I could maybe understand not allowing photos to be taken using a flash, that would be a bit much when you`re onstage with all those going off..... but as to the copyrights and "free-souvenir" thing....what a load of rubbish, it`s just being a bit too precious over image-rights etc.... given the prices of going to a concert nowadays,by the time you pay for a ticket, travel and all the other costs the least you could expect would be to take a few photos at the event.

I´ve read that in an interview she said someone took a photo of her & she saw it somewhere a day later & they wrote how much she looks like Elvis. Maybe she doesn´t want anyone to compare her to her father. :hmm:

Because if was this I don't understand why!
I'm so happy that someone tell me or write that I like as my father or like my mother!
If is Elvis!
So?
What you mean?

There's not much they can do about it today as all the mobile phones come with cameras.

Thank you!
Perhaps its has something to do with the tabloids looking for unflattering photos for covers of their rags.
As it is now you see them all the time-the worst bodies of celebs, the worst hairdos, the worst look without makeup etc....
Maybe its just to keep the "bad side photos" from making he cover of some magazine.

today, I'm sure it's about the dollar - something the Col. was all about. Cameras were forbidden then, too, but of course, people snuck them in. That's why there are all the dark and/or fuzzy Elvis photos. Today, it's infringement, you could selll your photo that you took of Elvis and they wouldn't get their cut.
I recall reading a fan say that she was so excited about her great seats close to the stage, she didn't notice that her coat (or whatever) had fallen away exposing her camera. Elvis began giving her hints that he could see her camera, she finally caught on, and covered it back up again. She was particulary touched that he didn't want her to get caught. Just another reason I love Elvis!

It's just another way to Control the image. Nights where she might be tired she might not look her best.
Of course money is always a factor these days. You want the fans to buy the tour books and posters ..ect... and you make all the money from your image.
So different these days. The way Elvis treated a photo op and Lisa would, is two different mind set. Elvis knew the fans bought the records, the fans put the money in his pocket. Not the record label.
