Be nice to have in the collection, although there isn`t anything too surprising on there...be a good introduction for a new fan though.
Kind of surprised to see "Adam and evil" on there.

Definitely a diverse tracklisting for sure... :hmm:

As Sleepyjack said, this is a nice set to give to a new Elvis fan to introduce them to all aspects of Elvis' music!! I like it!!!! (y)

I have to say that I was surprised to see the inclusion of songs like I'M GONNA SIT RIGHT DOWN AND CRY (OVER YOU), PARALYZED, THRILL OF YOUR LOVE, JUDY, THERE'S ALWAYS ME and GOOD TIME CHARLIE'S GOT THE BLUES! Definitely some different, and underrated, songs on the list which I think presents a good overview of Elvis' musical output!! :D

I'll be very interested to check this set out for sure!!! (y)

"The Fool" makes it, but "Moody Blue" does not?

I also thought it was odd that MOODY BLUE was not included in the set, but we probably could all come up with songs that we thought would have been better inclusions than others that were selected...I know I can for sure... :hmm:

But on the whole, I really think that this set is a nice blend of well known material coupled with some more obscure tracks that most everyday music fans may not have heard before. And, I think that this diversity is what RCA was looking to provide...something for everybody, so to speak! ;)

i understand that there will always be omissions. but to me "Moody Blue" should absolutely be on there. it was the title track to his last album. it was a hit. and it also showed Elvis updating his sound somewhat (even though it was a bit "Disco-ish").

i mean, one of the first things that comes to mind when i think of the time of Elvis dying is that album. the blue vinyl and that song. here in Fort Worth at least, it was all over the radio.

Maybe that's why they included WAY DOWN on the set...to represent the MOODY BLUE album... :hmm:

I agree though that MOODY BLUE would have been one song that I would have thought for sure would have been included...

Adam and Evil - how strange???

Definitely one of the stranger tracks to be included on the set for sure... ;)

Maybe they were trying to showcase some of the soundtrack material that Elvis had to record for his movies throughout the 60's without actually using some of the movie material that was even worse (Queenie Wahinee, Hey Hey Hey, Yoga Is As Yoga Does, etc.)? :hmm:

"(y)Moody Blue's" great, but "Way Down" is better!

I think I could have made a better setlist... Or any of us here... Some songs are just pointless but they could have released a complete concert from July 1975 maybe as the fifth bonus CD. Just to get something new as well. Shame that BMG never takes the risk of releasing a concert not as FTD but as the major label. This could have been their chance but they chose to do the same old thing. How silly...
