People ask me that too sometimes and you're right, it's hard to explain what he means to me.
I always tell them that Elvis is more then a brother too me, more then a good friend,
my life would have been so different without him. I would not have as many friends if I hadn't had Elvis in my life. He such a big part of my life.
I just can't imagine a life without Elvis.

I wouldn't be able to explain it either if somebody would ask me. I just feel I love him! His whole personality amazed me and I get so much joy through his songs what I won't get from anybody else. He means a lot to me.

that is hard, Elvis has always been a part of my life, i have clear memories of Elvis from when I 2-3 years old. So it's hard to explain what he means to me.
I think on an some levels his music keeps me sane. When i'm sad or blue it's Elvis' music that snaps me out of my funk.
It is a hard thing to explain to non Elvis Fans isn't it?....I've been a fan since I was 8 and I can only say the first time I saw and heard him on the Aloha world satellite show it was the first time(I can remember) I felt truly happy, I think it was hearing his voice and seeing that smile and he stayed in my heart from then on and I've not had that reaction to any other entertainer since..listening to his music and watching him in DVD's etc continues to this day to make me if not happy all the time at least peaceful....

His music pushes all the right buttons. The emotions in his voice sear through to your heart, his laugh and smile sends goosebumps up my arms.
It is my biggest regret I wasn't old enough to see him live..............

For me Elvis is my guardian angel, his music is a life-saver and helps me through bad and difficult times in my life, as well as brightening my days even more when I'm happy. I just feel that he is there as part of my life- keeping my back covered no matter what life throws at me.
Guess that's the best way I can explain it.

For me he was like someone special I grew up with and watched as he evolved into the super star that he was. He made me laugh, cry and I worried over him as if I knew him personally...especially the last couple of years. I could never imagine life without him in it somewhere....he's still out there for me.

Elvis is the American Dream. Very, very poor, with a dream, by doing something he truly loved and was good at, he became instantly recognized and very rich. That sums it up really, except that Elvis was also a very kind & giving person.
That's the staple answer.
What does Elvis mean to me? He's absolutely beautiful, kind heart, beautiful face, generosity beyond compare, and he followed his heart and had it broken a few times, that's something I can relate to. His music speaks to me. Most people won't like my answer to the question, but "walk a mile in my shoes, buddy!"

This really is the toughest of questions to answer but I`ll try!...
First of all I love the music and the voice, that`s what got me interested to begin with...and hasn`t lessened one bit over the years.
I never really ask myself what Elvis means to me,he`s just there and a part of my life since I was a child,I know that he is always there somewhere..... it can sound corny and weird but he does feel more like a close friend or family member than just an entertainer.
I think with most people is the fact that listening to Elvis or watching him it always feels personal,we`ve all heard the descriptions of people who say that being in the audience it didn`t matter how many people were there you always felt like he was singing to you....and it feels like that almost every time I hear him.
Those are just some of the reasons.... I won`t go any further...don`t need to...... you all probably understand already anyhow!!

Very well said. I agree. I think it would be as easy to explain "what life means
to an Elvis fan" as it is to explain what Elvis means to us.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Elvis mean EVERYTHING to me , I can only repeat what everyone wrote. I can't imagine my life without him:wub::wub::wub::wub::king:
Elvis is pure entertainment to me-singing, performing, acting.... but also he has been an escape at times-when things get rough or hard in life.....I can relax by listening and watching him.
His charisma just shines and it caught me young. Strange I know.

:P:notworthy
What Elvis means to me:
I would say that he is part of my life. Afterall his presense and his songs were there from the age of 8. He influenced the way I thought about life, about music and about being very poor.
Elvis proved to me that I could do something incredible, even without his talent, I could go to school and try my best and make life worth living.
He helped me to see the ups and the downs of people who say they love you, and then prove they don't.
Elvis showed compassion for the smallest of things, which made him even greater and more magnificent in my heart. I learned from him that even if you have money and fame, the most imortant thing to have and to show is grace, love and respect. If you must take a stand so, but then get on with life and live it to it's fullest.
Help who you can, smile and laugh a lot, with other people and at yourself.
Elvis means my life has been better for his being in it. He continues to inspire me, and as I drive down the freewys, normally I have Elvis blasting out of my car like a teenaged girl. When I need to be calmed I play his gospel albums, and I feel blessed to ever have even said hello to the man.
Elvis is and was, part of my life, and will always be someone I love and thank God for.
Neverending

For me Elvis is something special - he brought and bring till today so much joy and condolation to so many people all over the world. Hear him laugh brings a smile on your face, hear him singing gospels, makes you feel comforted when you're sad. But most important is: he showed us what it means to be a human - with his respect for everbody, his generousity and his love for people. He was a very extraordinary human and without him the world is poorer because he was full of brotherliness and love for everybody.

He is a dynamic and powerful energy that lifts me from the most difficult times ! (He was the most consolating power during the time that I was sorrowful for my mom's death )
He frees me from my earthy limitations.Even the way I say his name is diffrent !he is my inner source of energy ! Just thinking to his beautiful voice makes me bear a hard long day's work !
He is like the excitment feeling that you have opening a birthday gift !!
He is like the best part of a food that a mommy gives to her spoiled baby !!!
When I look at him my lashes go up and down and little stars comes out of my eyes !
now you can tell me ! what does he mean for me ?:king:
