I am wandering if Elvis ever liked any of his movie songs? I know he didn't like most of the songs he had to record but songs such as Pocket Full of Rainbows,Tender Feeling, You don't know me, Return to Sender, just songs like those his voice sounded sooo good. But being Elvis fans most of us likes almost all the songs he recorded. Take care all Elvis fans Gerald!!

Since he used it to close most of his concerts, I would have to guess that CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE was a favorite of his. :hmm:

Definitively that was one Mike.
He did also choose to re-record Let Your Self Go, A Little Less Conversation and Little Egypt for the '68 Comback Special, so he must have had a thing for them. Even during the '69 Memphis Sessions you can still hear him singing the opening line of A Little Less Conversation (Before I'm Moving On on the Memphis '69 Anthology CD's)
Rubberneckin' although recorded at the American Sound Studios in Memphis, it was used as a movie track for Change Of Habit, long before the movie was released (Nov '69) and just about it was to be released as the B side of Suspicious Minds, he chooses to performed it life Aug '69. I guess he just liked it.
He used to perform What'd I Say almost every night in Aug '69, he still rehearsed it in '70, and sometimes he did an ultra short version of it as late as '77. Hawaiian Wedding Song was another he did often during his last days.
He also did a few lines of Return To Sender during '76, and he seemed to enjoy that movie scene back in '62.
About the 50's, its well reported he did felt proud about everything concerned to King Creole, Trouble is one that obvious went into even more fame by recording it during the '68 comback special for the opening sequence, and also played it live a few time around '73. We can hear singing a few lines of Loving You during Vegas '69.
Jailhouse Rock, I think he liked that pretty much, but along Hound Dog an other 50's great recordings, he just got tired of singing it over and over, but I think he was proud of the original record. Same might be said of Love Me Tender.
See if we can spot a few others.

I'm sure he didn't like all of them, but "Can't Help Falling In Love" was his favourite for sure! It became a kind of message song for him as he sang it in every concert at the end, as a good-bye to his fans. "Love Me Tender" was also a special song for him. I'm sure he enjoyed "Rubberneckin'", and "Let Us Pray" as well, he looked very happy when he sang it in the movie. And "Jailhouse Rock", "Swing Down Sweet Chariot" were other songs what he surely enjoyed! I'm sure there were many more what he really liked.

Good post RaisedOnRock! (y)
I like to think Elvis rather enjoyed All I Needed Was the Rain. When he sings it, he seems to be a bit lively, like he's really enjoying singing the song, most times, you can hear the boredom in his voice - just hurrying along to get it done!
