Usually when I`m feeling down almost any Elvis song can make me feel better...with me it`s more the sound of the voice than the songs a lot of the time. Some that definitely work though...
"Follow that dream"... "Shake a hand"..."I can help"..."I gotta know"..."I got lucky"...... loads of them!!:):):):):)

Great question Nicole!!! (y)
Hmmm...I guess any Elvis song would make me feel better! But if I'm having a particularly bad day, any uptempo Elvis song usually does the trick! Particularly some of my favorites like FOOLS FALL IN LOVE, I GOT STUNG, I BEG OF YOU and BURNING LOVE. :D

When I'm in a down mood, I like to hear Elvis' gospel songs, like Joshua Fit the Battle,
Swing Down Chariot, I, John. But, I do agree, any Elvis songs puts me in a better mood.

Elvis' voice seems to calm me.
The lyrics and melody are lovely; however, it's Elvis' voice, the tones, the resonance.

I agree, Kimme. Elvis had a wonderful, soothing voice. One of the best
descriptions I have ever heard of his voice was that it was "butterscotch"; so
silky, smooth, soft, cool and sweet.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Ohhhhhhhh what an incredible description, I love butterscotch, lol.
Some songs Elvis sings, I have to play certain parts over and over, because of the inflection, or the tone he uses, the feeling he puts into some of the words, no-one does this like he does, and he blows me away when I hear it. I smile and think to myself: "Ahh another one" lol (y)

I know what you mean, Kimme. I do that a lot, too. I play the same songs
over and over to hear, especially, a certain note or a line that he does
that really gets to me. He does put so much soul into his songs. He makes
you feel and believe the lyrics!:D:D:D:D:D:D

I wish I would always feel better just from hearing his voice. Normally I already feel better when I hear Elvis, no matter what song he sings. But right now I have a problem that I canīt solve at all. And now it seems like nothing can help me.

Lots of problems appear that way at first... give it some time and you`ll find a way around it. All I know for sure is that worrying about things seldom helps at all. Hope you figure it out.

I am helped when I listen to Elvis Gospel..especially like "I John" and "I got confidence" upbeat and snazzy ones, "Run on" and boy does that song ever fit many a situation... and the one that goes.."6 foot 6 stood on the ground, weighed 235 lbs, but I saw that giant of a man brought down because of love..."
So very many that are just beautiful, but in order to get out of a poor mood they must be inspirational without making me cry! If ya know what I mean..:lmfao::king: I'm not going to cheer up listening to Mamma liked the Roses..

Some songs had a particular emotional resonance, such as Hurt and You Gave Me A Mountain.. but also: Trying To Get To You and Tiger Man. There are frustration-shedding songs and there are painful songs - singing the big ballads Elvis felt and took over the emotion or pain anyone could have and understand, to a similar extent and power of the songwriting skills Hank Williams shared with the world.

Beautifully said, Fa. :D
There are songs too, hehe (that give the listener all emotions) ...... :).
Besides my comment above, lol, Elvis will phrase some words, place emphasis on some, and I have to listen to the song again, to hear the emphasis - or wait for it, thinking: "it's coming soon", (y))
"U.S. Male" another example, lol. The feeling and attitude singing the song (y):lmfao:
I just found a really funny version of the song, but I think I'd be editted on here :supriced: :( :hmm: - it's soooo funny :D Gosh I'd love to share it! rofl, lol
Quote (at the end of the song): If you do two more like that Elvis, we'll have a complete Party Album. Unquote:lmfao: {Elvis laughs}
(If you want to hear it, please let me know). :D

When I'm feeling down and worried sick over things I have no control over and the burden seems too heavy. . . Lead Me, Guide Me and Amazing Grace seems to calm me and gives the comfort of hope.
When I'm just in a down mood cos life can be annoying at times.... I often find random Elvis songs can pop into my mind for no apparent reason. Then I have to go and give em a blast on the stereo and that shakes the mood off. However be careful !!! I'v recently been caught singing Barefoot Ballad to myself in Tesco's

Trouble when I'm mad. That song's great to blow off steam to. All I need to do is listen to one second of his voice and I'm not upset or angry or sad just plain happy.:king:
