So basicly this is the first 'dvd' release of On Tour? Because, as far as I remember, this movie hasn't been released on dvd after the various VHS versions? I know there have been many bootleg versions, using the laserdisc edition.
I will check this release when I'm home. Let's hope they've (finally!!!) improved the quality :-D

Yes, that doesn't sound like a professional job. I wish they would remaster EOT.

this has to be a good sign right? whatever legal wranglings were overcome to release this via download have to have some bearing on any matters regarding a DVD or BluRay release.
c'mon, man!! make it happen.
==Edit==
ok, after viewing the original trailer for the movie on iTunes, I am convinced that we're getting a DVD release. trailers that old normally look terrible, and this trailer was nearly void of any film defects and the picture quality (even though the size was small) was very good for this movie.
mark my words; within a year we'll all have this sitting on our shelves. and i would also bet that it'll be BluRay. why use a dead format like DVD? maybe we'll get TTWII, EOT, and This Is Elvis on BluRay and then a few years down the road '68 and Aloha.

I have seen films in 700mMB avi format that have been good quality to watch on my PC, so 1.11GB could be better that what is out there right now from crappy VHS converted to DVD.... but I doubt it (n)
