I will play this song at 2: 15...exactly 2: 15..since branson time is the same with texas... her memories will remain ... ok thats enough i start to get too carried away...again .

I had an e-mail from Rosanne's husband Jim today. He wanted me to know that he is thinking about me. Can you believe it? He is thinking about me. Rosanne's family is the best. That says a lot about Rosanne. Jim told me her most precious gift...her scarf from Elvis is placed in her hand.:'(:'( He told me that Rosanne loved me very much. That is my most precious gift, knowing she loved me. My thoughts and prayers are with them all today.

It is understandable Gloria...I know my mind has not functioned properly in days.
The shock of losing Rosanne overwhelms my heart and my mind.

I really loved Rosanne....She understood so much my total love and emotions for ELVIS. It was so great to have someone who had seen ELVIS and been to the shows and understood how the heart was touched forever by that experience....and now my heart has been touched forever by having had the friendship and love of Rosanne in my life.

I was driving on I-95 and I tuned in just in time for the tribute to Rosanne. I heard the DJ speak about it and I had tears in my eyes while driving. While I didn't meet Rosanne in person, I felt like I known her for years. She was like a second mother to me. She was somebody I could seek advice from, see her opinion on things and on life. I am still in shock and I wish that I would have had one last one on one talk with her. I told her I will see ya after the summer because I am so busy. I took it for granted and I feel so bad right now. This is the second time this has happened to me.:'( With my Grandmother I did not get one last goodbye and I did it again with Rosanne. I have to stop taking things for granted. :(

Rosanne, if you can see this, I Love You and one day I will actually get to meet you and we can finally sit down and talk again.

My condolences to her Husband, Son, and Daughter.

-Joe

Will do. :'(
Heartbreaking, and still just can't believe this. Why does it take such a great loss to know that someone is worth their weight in gold?
I thank God over and over again, for the times I apologised to her for some off the wall comment, thinking she was picking on Jess, when she was doing (in private) I found, the same as I was, trying to help her. She had no hate, or malice, she also respected (in private emails) my choosing to remain unknown.. compared to her, I am flat nobody!
She was a beautiful, caring and deeply concerned lady, for the so called "Underdog" I even yelled at Jess due to a horrible remark she posted regarding the death of Roseanne's parents, Jess never forgave me. I cried.
Now, I don't care.
How well we see who is worthy, after the fact. She prayed for me, I will be forever in her debt.
God bless you Roseanne, with more love than you ever knew belonged to you!

Thanks so much Malc and thanks so much for your kind words and support. The videos and songs were so touching. God, I will miss Rosanne so much. I still cannot believe she is gone. Life is so short but we will all see her again and this time it will be for eternity.

Some people make a difference
just by being who they are,
Their inner light shines bright
and touches lives
both near and far,
And even when they're gone,
they forever play a part
in the smiles,
the priceless moments,
that are treasured in the heart.

I miss you so much my dear friend, I guess I will see you again when I get to heaven. Give my little brother a kiss for me and thank him for bringing us together. Kim

We have requested Sirius radio play How Great Thou Art for Rosanne at 2:00 today. For any of you who get Sirius - please tune in at 2:00. I am going to go ahead and post the video I made for my friend that we are going to try and play at the service. I thought maybe you guys could play it around 2:15 and be a part of Rosanne's life tribute this way. She loved all you guys very much.

Hey guys,
We just got home about an hour ago. I'm physically and mentally exhausted so I will check in with you tomorrow. First though, I will tell you the service was absolutely beautiful! And, like our guy Elvis, it was SRO (standing room only)! I was just beaming as I sat there and listened to her son talk about his mother. I know you guys have heard about what a great speaker he is - well this is how good he is - he absolutely made me laugh today (and, I really didn't think that was possible). He was amazing - has that strength that his mother had. I do know she was proud of her family today as in all the days past.
I will talk to you all tomorrow and post a couple of pictures for you.

I learned many years ago after Elvis died that I should have written down every little thing I could remember about his funeral. I didn't do it for 20+ plus and so much had been forgotten. So, I've tried to put in writing as much as I could remember about Rosanne's service. I'm sure I will remember things over the next few days and will take the time to revise this so I will have always have this memory. While it's kinda long I hope you get a feeling of how much love this woman was loved. I'm going to call this:

"Whenever I am "low" I remember to be thankful for the gift of memory"

Where do I start? My mind is jumbled, confused and I’m sure I’ll forget some things and they’ll come to me later. But, I’ll give it my best shot.

Yesterday morning I got up around 6:30 and went outside of the motel to sit on the steps and drink my coffee. It was a gorgeous morning there in her little town. The sky was sunny and it wasn’t yet hot. It was very peaceful for me to sit there and talk to her. I went in and out of the motel a few times while my husband and son slept. It was maybe around 8:30 I wasn’t sitting on the steps anymore but standing there at the railing looking out at the highway. I saw her leave Mt. Vernon. Across the way a silver hearse turned off of Hwy. 37 onto the highway headed for Sulphur Springs. This took me back to 1977 as I watched Elvis drive by and my thoughts were exactly this AGAIN:

Through tear filled eyes I watch as you pass by oh yea
A chauffeur, a chauffer at the wheel dressed up so fine
Well, I never, I never, never, never
Oh my heart, all my dreams yea, they’re with you
In that long black limousine

She knew how hard it was for me to listen to that song and I’m not sure if I can ever listen to it again. She made a video using that song and harassed me until I finally watched it.

It took me a while after that to get ready. I got dressed, put on the makeup and headed for the door. I stopped and told my husband I was “going to Brookshires”…we use to tease her about getting dressed up and makeup EVERY MORNING to go to the grocery store. I don’t think there was a florist in town so I went to Brookshires to get a yellow rose for her from the TCB gang. They had a little vase with 3 yellow roses. I was then looking for a frame to put a letter in it but Mt. Vernon didn’t have frames so I had to drive to the next town.

Once I got back to the motel we packed up and headed to the church. The family was having lunch at the church at 12:00 and Jim had invited me and my family. I have to tell you my boys felt so out of place. It was totally my fault – I never bothered to tell them to pack suits – if you could have seen me packing you would have understood. I wasn’t even sure I had packed shoes until yesterday morning. My mind was just gone. They were the only 2 at the lunch wearing casual clothes. Afterwards my son Stacy, who is 18, said “I kept waiting for someone to ask me if there was more potato salad in the back”…while it made me laugh….it made realize how I had totally ignored my family.
The lunch was very nice and I met all of her family. Amy had put together a slide show showing pictures of Rosanne through her life. I really enjoyed seeing pictures of her and her family. Everyone was so very sweet and kind.

After the lunch we went to the chapel for the service. I took a picture for you guys of the little flowers and card I bought for ya’ll. I went through the thread on the board and signed all of your names that had left messages – I hope you can read it. You may not have been there physically but trust me – you were there. As it always was with Elvis – there was “standing room only”!!!

There were 2 ministers who spoke. Forgive me that I cannot remember their names. They were both wonderful speakers but one snuck up on you as to how funny he was. His words about Rosanne were just heartwarming. He talked of the many conversations they had and what a wonderful and loving friend and mother she was. He told of her being such a very private person and a person that was always very inquisitive…always wanted to know “WHY”, her involvement with the church and the love she had for her family. He was very dramatic in his speaking and was quite entertaining.

And, then her son Andrew spoke. Oh, how wonderful he was. I never dreamed I would be laughing at that service – but he certainly has a way with words. I can see why she loved hearing him speak. He began by saying that her mother loved drama and that’s why she enjoyed her relationship with Rev. Dan. He talked of the times of playing football with his dad as the coach, playing basketball with his dad as the coach and how he was never able to escape his dad’s watchful eye. So, when spring time came along and it was time for tennis – he figured out a way to escape his dad’s watchful eye so he decided he didn’t want to play tennis because it wasn’t masculine enough….he signed up for Drama and Theatre!!!!! (now, that’s pretty masculine, huh?) LOL Well, low and behold he soon learned of his mother’s love for drama and theatre. She never missed a tryout, a practice, she was there for picking out costumes, songs, etc. So, he escaped the watchful eye of his dad only to find out he was now under the watchful eye of his mother! He also said that his mom was the “first” mom on Facebook!! Everyone got a chuckle out of that because I think we all knew where he was headed with that one. He said that eventually he had to sit his mom down and talk to her….”mom, please quit posting notes on my friends’ walls on Facebook…"mom, it’s kinda like when I would ask you to drop me off around the corner so my friends wouldn’t see me" he said, everyone really got a chuckle out of that…guess we can all relate to that. He then talked of her love for Elvis. He talked of her childhood memories of going to see Elvis with her parents and said one of her prized possessions was a scarf that Elvis had given her. He talked of all her Elvis friends online and how she had gone to Memphis 4 times over the last few years with old friends and new friends. He then spoke of the unconditional love his parents had for each other and the love she had for her family. He said that his mom had gone back to Graceland but it was a different Graceland – one full of Grace and love. He thanked everyone for coming and for all the support everyone has shown for him and his family.

Then they played How Great Thou Art.

Then Rev. Pete got up to speak. He said something like well, “if speaking after Rev. Don and Andrew wasn’t enough I had to follow Elvis”!!! I know that would have made her laugh that wonderful laugh.

We were not able to get the laptop connected so the video wasn’t able to be played – but she had already seen it – she helped me do it. Lord knows, she knew I didn’t have the patience she had to make those things.

The service was just beautiful. I am sure she was proud of what her family did for her – I know I certainly was.

Her children were simply beautiful and with hearts as big as their mother. I only hope that I can remain in contact with them and watch over them for my friend. My husband and I were sitting in the car last night while Stacy went into the store and I told my husband that over the years that I had tried to make friendships with other people like I had with Rosanne but they never took. I’m not sure why I had to live 30 years without her and then only had 2 years with her but maybe what her daughter said to me yesterday as I was leaving is why... “she needed you these past couple of years”.

That was so wonderful of you to take us all there in your summation of yesterday. It must have been so emotional to relive it all again for us here.
Thank you for doing that for us....and for going to so much effort to get flowers (Yellow Roses for the Yellow Rose of Texas) from all of us and leave the special card from us TCB people.
It must have hurt so much to watch Rosanne's limo leaving..... :'(:'(:'(
Her service sounds like it could not have been any more perfect. I laughed as if I were there hearing the words reading what Andrew and the minister said.
Hey.....no one wants to have to follow ELVIS :lol::lol:
Rosanne would have been proud of her family and you for making it the perfect "goodbye".
None of us can EVER EVER fill her shoes as your friend....but I do love and care about you....and intend to look out for you the best that I can.

Dear Gail,

Thank you for sharing your memories of Rosanne's service with us, it was beautiful and very moving. And Thank you for representing us in the card aswell.

Luana.

I found one on YouTube this morning that she had made herself. While I never understood the therapy she said she got from making these I am sure understanding the therapy I'm getting from them now. Out of all the times I've been to Graceland I've never taken pictures of animals - the horses yes, but not the other animals running around. Watch this video and look at all the pictures I took of these little animals. Now I can see why I took them. Simply amazing.

Another great video! Thanks, Franny.

Here's another. It's not my video and it's not specific to Rosanne but it's a fitting song that may be of comfort (I experienced a renewed appreciation for it from its inclusion on the He Touched Me video set) and the imagery is nice.

Thank you Franny for the very beautiful and fitting tribute to Rosanne.

I loved your including the bird and animals in your video Gail...Elvis loved them too..and certainly did Rosanne.

Lonnie, you were right, the imagery in yours is just fantastic and that is my favorite of Elvis' gospel songs.

The tribute videos are so very beautiful...
....They do make the tears fall :'(:'(:'(....but it is all helpful as we need to go through this grieving process to try and heal from this hurt.
So I thank everyone  who has made a heartfelt tribute of video, graphic, or lovely words in honor of (((Rosanne))) because while they are for Rosanne.... I think the kindness of them helps all of our hearts.

Gail,

That was absolutely so moving....I only wish I could've been there with you...I still miss her so much....I didn't know about a card being taken there tot he service with our names on it or I would've had you put my name on it...*snaps fingers*...:'(

Gail...........

~Carole~

Ditto, Caroline. Gail, if you ever need me for anything or want to talk, you have my number and you know that I'm only an IM/FaceBook message/email/phonecall away. I love you, sweet lady.

Gail -

You are a sweet, sweet lady.........

Yes, Gail is truly a sweet, sweet lady - just like Rosanne was.

When I heard her talk on the phone the first time last week, it broke my heart because I know that she was feeling so much hurt and pain....I pray that God eases your (and our) pain and hurt, sweetheart, as the days go by.

Thank you guys very much for all the love and support. I have all of a sudden found this strength that I did not know lived inside me. I think it's that little voice that keeps saying "throw it off"....this was something her mother raised her kids with....whenever they didn't feel good or were upset about something that's what she would tell them. And, by george, that is exactly the way Rosanne lived - so I'm trying. Thanks to all of you.

I think you feel a little better now, Gail ... as many of us here..i hope...
