Outside?

I take it you mean why Elvis never performed outdoor concerts after the 68 special.

If that's the case Elvis didn't like playing outdoor concerts because of the bad acoustics or sound problems, bad echo etc.

He also didn't like being that far away from the audience which is required for Stadium shows because that's the way they are built.

But you did see him doing outdoor concerts where he was close to the fans in the 50s. Also, he was fairly far away at the Astrodome shows.

Dramatic effect, freak the adience out, sometimes he was tired, etc.

that's true

He did perform mostly outdoors in the 50's.

However he got tired off it because of sound problems

When he returned to performing in 1970 the Colonel booked him in the Houston Astrodome. Elvis didn't like it there because of the reasons I've said and told him not to book him in venues like that

The Houston Astrodome or the Pontiac Silverdome don't really qualify as they were indoor stadiums.

Why in some pictures of elvis is he laying down on stage?yep elvis would do this sometimes in his performances..only a few times ..he even did it in 77...and the audience loved it..in chicago may 77..during the encore of hurt elvis ended the song with by rolling over the floor great ending...and didint miss a note:lol::notworthy(y)(y)..always king.. just go to my elvis site..click on elvis video clips.you will see what i just explained in chicago may 77 http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e160/selenauno/smiley-gen101.gif
