View Full Version : Question about Elvis for the female fans

Brian
06-01-2009, 12:19 AM
I've noticed that Elvis has many female fans that absolutely love him partially because of the way he looked while he was alive now had he lived I think his popularity among female fans would've declined because of his age.

On this board I've noticed all his female fans think Elvis was really good looking and I think that's one of the reasons for his huge popularity among females.

If Elvis were still alive would you still be a fan of his despite the fact that he'd be 74 years old and not as handsome as he once was?

His age would make no difference to me. In my eyes he was and still is the most handsome man i have ever seen.

Elvis' stunning good looks were only a bonus that came with the package. Trust me, you don't love someone for nearly 50 years because at one time he was handsome. He was certainly far from his best at the end of his life, it made NO difference to me. I love him, always have and always will.http://smiley.net.ru/biglov030.gif (http://smiley.net.ru/biglov1.htm) http://smiley.net.ru/biglov030.gif (http://smiley.net.ru/biglov1.htm)

I don't know about the rest but I'm not here because he was good looking. Would you be now a fan of Elvis although he probably couldn't move or sing like he used to do when he was 35 or 40?

Of course Elvis would still be so handsome today. And he would have always been handsome no matter how old he would have become. To me he will always be the most handsome and good looking man ever! Even if he would still be alive and 74 years old, I would still be his fan & love him. I will always love him, forever! And I really mean that! :!:

Hi Brian,

I've said this before, apparently Tom Cruise is good looking (blahhhh) lol.
You know, I love a man. One whom I click with, one who is sensitive yet fun, considerate, lives his life, has life experience. The click is so important and rare, which is all that matters, as well as so many things in common. I'd really love the regular guy, what a dream come true! Whoo hooo.
Elvis' age would mean absolutely nothing to me. Anyone can go tomorrow. :'( It's in the now, living in the moment. Being kind, loving each other, God, helping, having fun and all that comes with a loving relationship, travelling when needed. The regular man behind the closed door, is who appeals to me. One who can be himself, feel safe, loved, and at ease. Life is for living, it doesn't matter how much time there appears to be, nothing is guaranteed; however, living in the moment, is.

I never loved Elvis just because of his good looks. His personality and humor is what really hooked me...the looks and voice were just a bonus. And yes, I would still love him if he lost his looks and couldn't sing or dance.

elvis was breath taking right up till the late 70's and elvis would never lose that no matter what age he reached. There was something about him that was turly something special and magical and looks aren't everything either, its what inside that counts.

Elvis had the looks, yes, even at the end he was still handsome, the weight does not erase the looks, and seriously, look at his gene pool, Vernon was very attractive and bit on the heavy side, age does that, [my daddy is not the 27 waist that he was when he married my mom, she keeps reminding him of that! :D] and i've read that Vernon's father was quite the ladies'man.
what elvis had was charisma, charm, and a good upbringing of respect and courtesy. those things do not go away. his voice, i can't say enough about his voice - it lulls me to sleep every night, and wakes me up in the morning.

I think everything would change. Gone would be the girls who were there for his looks and there would stand those who loved the silver in his hair and the crows' feet around his eyes. Gone would be those just there for Polk Salad Anne and there would stand those who truly understood the meaning of the song Let It Be Me. Gone would be the silly little girls who loved his bad boy act, and there would be the women that not only loved the boy but loved the man he was becoming. Gone would be those who were there because they were curious, and there would stand those who connected with his heart. Young Elvis would be gone. Everything superficial would be gone and there would be only one thing left.......our connection to his soul. Isn't that what loving someone really is?

That was fantastically put.
He would have looked gorgeous with grey hair and crows feet.

IMO, his voice got better as he matured.
'Let it be me'.................Ohhhhh!!!! Wonderful song!!!!

Also as we women know, unfortunately for us............Men mature 'into' themselves and get better with age

Difficult for me to explain in english but this statement seems a bit unfair for women !! Ye, we have eyes to appreciate his good looks but also ears to love his beautiful voice and songs and also a heart to love his personnality and his soul. If Elvis lost his voice and couldn't sing that well when he got older I wouldn't buy any of his new records but I would still like his older recordings.
Tom Jones is older, and he still sings great and still puts on a good show so just because someone gets older does not always mean the talent and voice diminish.
I think the talent and charisma of Elvis was always there-even at the end.
I am not a woman-but I think his looks do play a role-for some-but I suspect most feel that "Charisma"-that inexplainable something-which/combined with "True Talent" causes long term fans. I think that applies to males or females.

his wasn't an ordinary beauty.I accept that he had the most perfect human design(for me) an artist could imagine but only with the vibes coming from him that look became the thing most of us love to look at and see..much deeper than the beauty on the surface, kind of a light, something that heals and ease a pain only by looking at..aging has nothing to do with this kind of beauty.besides,I guess one doesn't have to be a female to detect this, because it's far beyond the opposite sex magnetism, there's a big plus to it..

How I wish Elvis is still here. I "fell in-love" with him when I was just 7, and I don't think his age will really matter. I think I will still feel the same even if he is 74, I just feel a special connection to him and I can't just put my finger to it. Maybe it's his charisma and talent.
I think he will still be a hunk at 74, look at Sean Connery he's 100 years old and still very much a hunk!

ABSOLUTELY !!! (y) (y)(y)

I will definitely go to many of his shows, already by now :) ,...

I went to see Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Johnny Mathis, Wayne Newton, Paul Anka ...numbers of times and the crooners still have IT, the voice, charisma, the new songs they had just 'wow's me ... I have to say Elvis missed alot as he died too young too soon...:( :( Wish WE COULD bring him back ......:king:

Yeah but he found the fountain of eternal youth..? Didn't know he's that old by now though..

I know an artist who's in fact 105 years old.. and still performing.. His name is Johannes Heesters, pronounced Yo-han-nis Hay-sturs in Anglo-American..

So I've got about 82 years left to become just as amazing! :D

Besides.. arrogance is for youth and true inner beauty for old age. :)

Looks don't mean eveything. Everybody gets older and ages. I'm 44 and married for almost 17 years now. It would be madness if we don't love eachother anymore when we are 60 or 70, just because we don't look 18 anymore. Love is more than just looks. It's also about trust and compagnionship. My hon is my lover, friend, buddy and soulmate. And I kinda feel the same for Elvis (With exeption of lover ofcourse. lol)

just means he'd been the most handsome older man

part of Elvis' appeal was his appearance to men and women - men wanted to copy him and women wanted to have him

but just being attractive wouldn't have been enough without the charisma, talent and his ability to perform and read an audience
