This suit is known as the "Knot Suit". There are tassels all over the suit. It made its debut during Elvis Jan/Feb. 1971 Las Vegas season.

elvispresleytheking is right, most of them are captures from 8 mm movies. You can see Elvis dressed in this suit in combination with a small blue macramé belt. But there are "normal" pictures too. I have at least one.
