31501This unmarked grave at Priceville Memorial Gardens is thought to belong to Presley's twin brother, who died at birth. What do you guys think?:hmm:

I thought that Jesse's grave was completely unmarked, that there was no kind of marker or headstone and that's why it was never located.:hmm::hmm:

Rosanne, I Found it while looking up "Graceland then & now"..just stumbled acrossed it somewhere. I seriously dought it is Jesse/Jessie's grave. I always heard it was unmarked with no headstone too. But, what if it was? Do you think they should exume the body for DNA?:hmm:

I also found that headstonepicture, just before we went to Memphis (& Tupelo) and even finding that one is near impossible. Its a big old cemetery and it was a v hot day!

The Presley's couldn't afford a marker. Usually just a little thing is put in the ground to mark where the grave is when that happens. But it deteriorates and the ground fills in around it.

Jesse's grave is by all accounts unmarked.
I also understand that he is not buried at Priceville.
I've heard the stories that they couldn't locate him, but some of the guys mention that they know where he is buried either from Elvis verbally telling them or showing them.
Billy Smith has also said he's not buried at Priceville - I believe the quote regarding this is in Revelations.
As for DNA testing - on what grounds should a person who died more than 70 years ago be exhumed?
To satisy a fan of their twin brothers desire to know their true identity is not grounds.
Im sure anyone who truly cares for Elvis or his family would wish that his brother be allowed rest in peace. He's not a souvenier nor should his final resting place become an attraction for sightseeing.

I wonder if people say Jessie isnt buried at Priceville because they want to respect his final resting place.
Had he lived, I wonder how Elvis's life would have been different if at all.

Some laws would prevent that really. One law is that the family can have the body exume or not. It is only up to them. Now as for unmarked graves I don't know how the law would treat this matter. Anyway, Jesse's grave was completely unmarked with no haedstone. People from the south during that time was poor and couldn't afford stuff like that. Now, for my family most of my family buried in Kentucky who pass away during this time would put rocks on the graves saying that is where they are buried at. Records would be kept by saying how many places over they was from the nearest marked headstone from either the left or right of them and if there is a person buried above or below them that would be told too so that they know where there buried at. Guess people in Mississippi didn't think of that.

The grave is unmarked. They couldn't afford a headstone. Billy said where he believes he is buried. He should know.
