Elvis seems to be making a comeback in the movies lately. I've seen several movies within the last year where either Elvis is mentioned or his music is used.

I hear Elvis' name, if I'm out, just about every time, or his music. It makes my day. I feel he is around me.
His name is mentioned a lot in movies, or shows, yes (y)
*I also notice signs, such as printed on some stones for sale (oddest things), with believe..

Can you explain that a little better Jess? I think I'm missing something in the translation here. I don't think you meant that you see rocks with "Elvis believe" on them, did you?

Exactly, and now people are proud to say they are Elvis Fans. I have my Elvis sticker on my car, & people comment - the lady at the bank drive thru, even the kid at McDonalds recognized him immediately!

I often hear of him on tv, too. And I often see pictures of him on walls in the background. Even though I live in Germany. And in Germany not sop many people know him. But he was mentioned more often a few years ago. I´m afraid people might forget him. But of course I won´t ever forget him.

Hmm, seems like I'm missing something? Well, I don't watch television shows.. But it looks like we're left behind in Germany. I'm aware it's not much of Scientology country here though..
Mainstream radio.. it just ain't worth a ****.
What I did like from an older movie (the clip I had mentioned in my profile) - with the father beating his son for being queer - there's a photo of Elvis in the trailer of the tramp selling fries. The movie was made by the successful Paul Verhoeven - he has made a lot of cheap low-budget movies, but a lot of them are worthwhile.

The Rookie, with Dennis Quaid, baseball coach is pitching to his players, and decides to use his fastball, and Elvis begins singing "Run On"
Game Plan with Dwayne Johnson, an Elvis fan himself, is all about Elvis in the movie. His apartment is an Elvis shrine & he has more than one Elvis room.
Lilo & Stitch - lots of Elvis there. These are the only ones that come to mind. Subtle Elvis references in other movies - only one I can think of - Men in Black Tommy Lee Jones tells Will Smith - Elvis didn't die, he just went home.
[paraphrased, as it's been awhile since I've watched the movie]

I loved introducing my young man, when very little, to Elvis' music through Lilo and Stitch (alright, it made it fun for me! lol) (y)
I also see Elvis' image everytime I go out, it's good.
A lot of musicians that play at our Showgrounds monthly, play Elvis' music, I love it when I arrive, alighting from the car, the band is playing the right songs! lol
Hope they do so at this weekend's Agricultural Show, when I return to listen (y) :king:

I noticed a new commercial today for Progressive Insurance that features an "Elvis look-alike" character. The only problem is "Elvis" looks to be a little short guy, he's dressed in a white jumpsuit with the signature sunglasses. Of course the commercial ends with him saying "Thank ya.....thank ya very much." IMO...it's not a very flattering image of Elvis, and it makes young viewers think "why does my mom think he's so special"?
