I happen to think that Elvis had some great lines in some of his movies, some were very amusing. Here are a couple of lines from two of what I think were classic Elvis Movies(y)
Peggy: How dare you think that such cheap tactics would work with me.
Vince(Elvis):That ain't tactics honey. Thats just the beast in me.:flex:
JAILHOUSE ROCK.
Maile(soaking wet): I bought this dress to welcome you home. It's the first
time I've worn it.
Chad(Elvis):You know something on you wet is my favourite color.
BLUE HAWAII.
Gee I wish Elvis would have said that to me
love and peace,
Susan.
Peggy: How dare you think that such cheap tactics would work with me.
Vince(Elvis):That ain't tactics honey. Thats just the beast in me.:flex:
JAILHOUSE ROCK.
lol- that's exactly the first one that sprung into my mind!!!

COOL POST SUSAN!!! WHAT A GREAT TOPIC!!! (h)
How about this one from BLUE HAWAII:
Chad (looking at Malie after she tries on the bathing suit): What's the matter, don't you like it?
Malie: Oh I love it, and I thank you for thinking of me
Chad: Oh, I wasn't thinking of you...I was thinking of me! :D
And, I LOVE Danny's (Elvis) speech to his Dad in KING CREOLE (forgive me for not remembering the words exactly) about his father taking him to the circus, and his father "bumped into some guy and he turned around and punched you...he punched you right in the mouth" and his Dad did nothing...and then he told his Dad "you go to school, I'm going out to make a buck".
And this classic from VIVA LAS VEGAS:
Rusty (to Lucky in the garage): My motor, it whistles
Lucky: I don't blame it
I can't wait to see what other classic lines get mentioned here!! (y)

I think King Creole had some of the best lines. Although they were not as funny as some of his other movies Elvis delivered his lines with real feeling which made it a fantastic movie .
Thanks for your posts guys.
love and peace,
Susan.
They are probably the stand-outs but I also love `now you know what I do for an encore' from King Creole and the one about a bump on the head from `Charro'.
These lines showed that with a decent script our man could deliver a good line.

SUSAN - I agree with you completely!!! Elvis delivered some GREAT lines in KING CREOLE!!! (y)
RICK - You are 100% spot-on about Elvis' line "now you know what I do for an encore"....GREAT LINE!!!
Another movie moment I like is from LOVING YOU, when he finishes singing MEAN WOMAN BLUES and he tells the guy "I usually get paid for singing as a rule, so now I figure you ought to do whatever you do for me, so how 'bout stepping outside and putting a new set of seatcovers on my car, huh?" -- while probably not a classic movie line, I just think he delivers that line in a cool way!!
