Not sure if this has been posted yet:
Variety has listed the album and DVD top lists in the UK for 2008. In the album Top 50, Elvis is on the 19th place, with 579,900 sold copies. This position is more meaningful when you see who is behind Elvis in the list: Michael Jackson, Michael Buble, Madonna, Britney Spears, Johnny Cash, Mariah Carey, Metallica, Queen, ... 63 different titles where listed in the Album Top 10.000

Elvis has the first place in the music DVD list with 176,847 copies. From 2005-2007, he sold 619,257 DVDs.

The last list, the holiday albums, gives a third place to the ?Christmas Duets' with 341,000 copies.

The numbers:

UK Best Selling Album Artists 2008 (last year's position in brackets)

1 (3) Take That - 2,051,285

2 (-) Duffy - 1,684,944

3 (29) Kings Of Leon - 1,620,215

That sounds good, Ken (y)! You don't know by chance who is on place 4 to 18?
Isn't it incredible that 98 % of Elvis' 'competitors' are alive and listed somewhere behind him! I am especially glad singers like Mariah Carey and Madonna had to give in to Elvis ;)(y)!

They're mentioned in your first post here, Ken ... ;)

The full info may have come from Variety, but I can't exactly quote them when making an assertion about Take That's less-than-stellar talents ...
