If he had not put in the "I think he was checking me out" line would this be news? Guys are in shower situations all the time-in juniior high & high school when I was growing up there was one big shower room and we all had to take a shower after gym. In pro sports locker rooms there is no big problem with talking to a guy taking a shower. Reporters talk to nude and towel drapped players everyday.
What Tom meant I'm not sure-but I'm sure if someone pressed him on it he would probably say-I didn't mean to imply anything. Lets face it showbiz is self promotion-getting people to talk about you-and people are talking about him.;)

Oh my god, i can't belevie he said that :cursing: Elvis would never, never, ever do that. Me personaly :hmm:i think Tom Jones just was jealous of elvis and how popular he was. I think he was made because all the people went to Elvis instead of his show. For a man like Elvis, who it has been stated time and time again, was modest to a fault and painfully shy about his own body and that of others who were quick to reveal themselves to him, both male and female, I find this remark from Tom Jones completely unbelievable. So many comments that are 'quoted' from celebrities are taken completely out of context and, giving Jones the benefit of the doubt (although I didn't watch this tv interview), I would say that 'maybe you just had to be there'. There absolutely no way would Elvis intrude on someone in the shower.

Elvis was in the public eye and he was a celebrity/public figure - Elvis was no exception to stories like this.

Tony, I don't think I 'defend' EP everytime some outragous story is printed or discussed (and there are some totally outrageous stuff he was responsible for doing); however, Elvis was quite modest and this story seems so "un-Elvis" that I just do not believe it in the context of what has been told. As I mentioned in my last post on this thread, "maybe you just had to be there" but the idea of Elvis visiting, or serenading someone in the shower sounds completely unbelievable.

I agree, I can easily see Elvis playing this kind of joke on Tom and Tom was simply making another joke out of it but of course as usual, his comment was blown way out of proportion. You really have to watch what you say these days.
