This is good news

I'm very suprised that this is the first major certification for Elvis since 2004

Sony BMG needs to update Elvis sales and certifications more frequently

They've done a poor job of it in my opinion.

I don't really count singles since there not a major form of record sales anymore.

and if I'm not mistaken Elvis 30 #1 hits was 4x platinum back in 2004
I think it's probably around 6x platinum by now at least but it probably won't get updated.

That's my problem with Sony Bmg in the beginning they put a lot of money and promotion behind Elvis 30 #1 hits and it sells real well but then they get lazy and complacent and the albums just sits there without any sale updates.
If Sony would do a better job Elvis would probably have some diamond awards by now.
