IIRC, this was first shown around 2005 and was proven to be a fake back then.
Jewellery like that on one of his off stage outfits? Especially in 1970? I don't think so.
And a collar like that? Nah.
And no mention as to whether the alleged letter from Vernon was in the new owner's possession.
"(The Jaycees) went to Graceland to acquire something that belonged to Elvis" ... hmm.
A tad suspicious, methinks.

look I'm sure no one is here to hurt feelings and I understand why you did it , myself this is a first for me and wow is that thing UGLY I dont even think Elvis would of wore something that ugly and he did have some nasty items , but for the most part I love Elvis's style in clothing in which most of it seemed to be comfy clothing. Anyway back to the subject , no one ment to hurt any feelings and if they did they should be ashamed of them selves, thank you for posting that info . You have a goodnight or morning or whatever , ive had 6hours of sleep since sunday.

Thanks for the post Darling.........but it does not look like anything that he would wear.....please don't take that to heart.I Love you and don't mean to be harsh.....but to me it's too obvious that it's not of Elvis' style.
Someone is trying to pull the publics leg for sure.....it's nothing you did at all. Thanks for posting reguardless.....Love You.
I saw this on PBS a while back and it truely just does not look like anything Elvis would have worn-as Getlo pointed out the collar is just way to low. But thats just an opinion.

This was on Antique's Roadshow in June 2007. We did discuss it at that time. Here's the link for that post:

thanks for posting this but i don't think it's something Elvis wore. In all honesty it looks to big cut wise, the tailoring just doesn't look right, besides the other points that others have mentioned.
