HI

I CAN ONLY THINK OF THESE SONGS THAT ELVIS RE-RECORDED:

"BLUE HAWAII" - MOVIE VERSION AND 1973 ALOHA RECORDING
"HAWAIIAN WEDDING SONG" - MOVIE VERSION AND ALOHA RECORDING
"KU-U-I-PO- MOVIE VERSION AND ALOHA
"EARLY MORNING RAIN" 1971 AND ALOHA
"NO MORE" - BLUE HAWAII AND ALOHA
"SWING DOWN SWEET CHARIOT" - HIS HAND IN MINE ALBUM AND TROUBLE WITH GIRLS SOUNTRACK.
"LOVE LETTERS" 1966 AND 1970
"A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION" - LIVE A LITTLE LOVE A LITTLE MOVIE AND 68 COMEBACK SPECIAL.

ALSO "GUITAR MAN", "BIG BOSS MAN", "LITTLE EGYPT", "IT HURTS ME", "WHERE COULD I GO BUT TO THE LORD" WERE ALL RE-RECORDED FOR THE 68 SPECIAL

I'M SURE THERE ARE A FEW OTHERS PEOPLE CAN THINK OF.

Another one is:
LOVE LETTERS - single recording in 1966 and for "Love Letters from Elvis" in 1971
LET YOURSELF GO - Speedway soundtrack and '68 Special

I'm not sure if "One Night Of Sin" and "One Night" are correct here.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't he re-record "One Night of Sin/With You" as he wasn't happy with the first session?

This has always been a curious one to me. I've never understood why they re-recorded this one for GI BLUES?

I heard it was an inside joke.

Yes- the GI in the film says "I want to hear the original" and yet the song playing in the jukebox is not the original-its a new recording.

He also did a remake of "Night Rider".

He first recorded the song in 1961, then re-recorded it in 1962.

Actually...I believe he re-recorded ONE NIGHT OF SIN because of the risque lyrics, thus the end result of ONE NIGHT WITH YOU. :hmm:
