I LOVE the versions from 1969....very passionate and the tempo of the song is taken much slower, which I think suits the song better than the faster tempo of the later 70's versions. :hmm:

The 1969 version is only a partial part of the song and its sung much slower with a different tempo and not a very serious attempt either. He certainly gave this little country tune a serious make-over before he debuted it during the 1970 Winter Vegas engagement.

Agreed, the 8/10/70 version is so fast, though.
