Hi!
I've always wondered why Elvis did this with his hands at 5.59 in the video. And his 'sneezing' facial expression right after the first 'Oh See...' at 7.07. Any ideas folks? I know because he's simply Elvis... :)

I guess the hand thing is just Elvis being Elvis.
The "sneezing" expression on the other hand, boggles me.

i take the first movement as a stretch, just before a very touching moment when he clearly prays for help to get him through the night.
As for the `sneeze' it looks a bit like a shock.
Apart from the edited interruption to the song, he does do a great version of See See Rider

I think his hand movement (like a karate thing) is to say: I'm ready. And sneeze is just to drive the girls crazy... ;]

I always thought he was reacting to the loudness of the speakers or that he had been hit with some type of feed back.

Yeah that's what I make out of it to... and to shock the people who are just realizing that he's standing in front of their very eyes...

confusing yes i think the sneeze is just part of his playfull pefrormance and as for the hand movement its before he goes on is a stretch followed by a karate hand movement they did that move just before each karate performance i think

the 1st one was just a stretching excersise, the 2nd was just feed-back simple as that :D
I think also he was just stretching his arm before going on stage and the second "sneezing" movement I think was just him reacting to the sound he just heard from his monitor which may have sounded a little feedbacky to him or perhaps loud to him.

The first arm movement looks like he's doing a "Here we go" sign and says: "Good" or something like that... Strange indeed...

It was a mosquito in his nostrils. The hand movement was him doing a karate thing while thinking, F... the stage is full of mosquitoes.

The concert wasn't his best concert ever, but it is definitely not as bad as everybody makes it out to be. The only thing that bugged me was his performance of "Hound Dog."
A bad concert would be the College Park concerts in 1974.

From what I've read over the years. Elvis had a series of hand signals that would let his body guards know when he was ready to enter or exit the stage. As you can imagine, it was very loud back stage. (especially near the end of his concerts.) So Elvis came up with these hands signals. If you notice he does almost the same move at the end of the concert, jst before he leaves.
