Awhile back, I ran across a site that had an audio file of Gladys. Apparently, she was briefly interviewed at Tupelo. I've gone through my bookmarks and I can't find it. Does anyone have this?

I think the interview your talking about is included on the 'Tulepos own Elvis Presley' book/DVD release from 'The Memphis Recording Service'. It contains the footage of Elvis performing in Tupelo in '56 and also a little of him performing there in '57. Theres an interview with Veron and Gladys included, which might be the interview your thinking of.

Gladys and Vernon were interviewed in the backstage of "The Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show" on September 26, 1956, Tupelo, Mississippi.

In october 1984, the interview was edited for the first time in RCA box set of 6 Lp's "A Golden Celebration" (CPM6 5172) known as the golden box. After he was re-published in August 1998 on the set of 4 cd's (67456-2) under the same title.

After, in 2007, it was published in book/DVD "Tupelo´s Own" of Joseph Pirzada in his saga "Memphis Recording Service" (y)

I wish that there were more interviews that Gladys did. This is the only one that I know of. Gladys had such a sweet voice... I just love her Southern drawl.

A Southern Accent is my absolute favourite, lol. Yes, Mrs Presley's voice is very sweet, I agree with you, it's very good to hear her, something I've always wanted to do.

I agree Jess, I just love her voice. I used my headset to listen to it so I could hear it more clearly. Even though I am from the south, I still had difficulty understanding her in one part.
