Nice article and I'm glad Sammy preferred Elvis. I do like Tom Jones as well but he doesn't hold a candle to Elvis.

Elvis has been my fave singer since I was little and he still is, but not so long ago someone dear to me shared some Tom Jones songs with me that I hadn't heard before and I really enjoyed them, he has a great voice and he can move to.

I agree, i don't dislike Tom, i've seen him in concert here long before he went over to America, but in my opinion Elvis is better, that dosn' mean Tom is no good, on the contrary he is good.

TOM JONES ADMIRED ELVIS VERY MUCH!! BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SEX APPEAL AND CHARISMA ELVIS WAS NUMBER ONE!! WITH TOM JONES HIS STAGE MOVES AND APPEAL JUST DON'T ATTRACT ME LIKE ELVIS!! HE GETS ME EXCITED EVERY TIME!!

Pauly Shore(Sammys son) tells the story of how Elvis picked him up as a small kid and rubbed his sideburns against his face and they burned. He also says Elvis dropped him-not sure if its true or just a humorous addition part to his story about Elvis.
