Hi! I just wanted to share this info with you.
I know I wrote about this before and it seemed that only I was interested in the brands of aftershaves Elvis used. Now I wrote to Elvis.com and they replied in 3 days saying that they don't have the info broken down to decades but they do know that Elvis used Canoe, Brut and Hai Karate.
You don't need to reply I just shared the result of my research. :D
(if any of you are interested)
Take care!

Thank's for the info, I've only heard of Brut before. Do you know if it was an After Shave or Eau de Toilette he used?

I don't have the answer to that... I suppose he preferred aftershave. But that's my opinion

I don't have the answer, but I do have a story. I read - probably on Elvis Australia - about the fans who caught Elvis' guitar during a concert. In the late 70's Elvis would toss his guitar back away from himself for Charlie to catch. There would be an audience behind the stage, the cheap seats. The guitar hit the stage railing and bounced into the audience and a fan caught it. The fans kept the guitar for many, many years, and for financial reasons sold it. The lady said that when they sold the guitar, you could still smell the fragrance from his cologne on his guitar strap!

I remember Hai Karate from the 70's, my dad used it. As for Brut, I have always loved the smell and I've got two bottles of it. If my memory serves me right, you can also get Brut talc and deodourant spray.

I have a bottle of BRUT myself, bought in a supermarket in the South of France. I can't but it here anymore. I always associate BRUT with the seventies because you could smell it everywhere.

I also heard Elvis used a fragrance with the name Aqua Velva.... Maybe that is something to investigate too...

What book is that? Never heard of it...

I also asked Elvis.com about Aqua Velva and they said they didn't have any info on that particular one. So who knows after all... Maybe we need a better research... :hmm:

I have a sample of the fragance of Elvis. Brut is the name of it, and it's mentioned in the book Elvis by the Presley. Old Spice was his aftershave, if I am not mistaken.

the fragrance is very sensual to me, but I know that the reason is because it of him, uhmmm:wub: Little kisses.

Here you go, epmoodyblue, it wasn't Elvis Australia, it was Scotty Moore's website. Interesting article, too.
