I used to listen to this on a 45 record over and over over. I could not read yet, did not even know what he looked like yet, but I knew this voice got to me...even at that age.

I sang this along with Elvis too, sitting on the floor in front of my stereo...remember the pretty cabinet ones they used to have?
I've been torn between setting up a good stereo system with a turntable or finding another nice cabinet one....no CD player on them though.

Mmmmm:hmm:What age would that be Rosanne?;)Remember those beautiful covers they used to bring the 45s in. I used to get my Elvis discs imported from the States. The quality was great.
Nice job Rosanne. Easy guitar chords too......C,D,G. (y)

Do you still have your 45? I still have mine. We had a huge cabinet stereo too. It was bigger than a coffee table! I played Elvis on it over and over.

You mean the ones like this? They were great!(y) This one came along in 1968...it needs a new needle. In it's day it would knock down walls it had such a powerful sound. My little friends thought I was nuts.....listening to Elvis, and listening to him on one of these. They all had those $75 stereo's with plastic speakers that hung on the wall.
I'm sure that The Partridge Family sounded just fine on one of those.:laughing:

This is one something like we had. Ours opened from the top. It looks like this one opens from the front. It did had such a sound. I remember counting the grooves on the record to play my favorite song over and over. You can`t beat those days!

Yes, I've had it since 1968. The only time I didn't have it was during college. After Jim and I married we had it in our first apartment....I'm sure the neighbors didn't appreciate the volume levels at time.
This is the album storage...all of the ones on the left, and part of the ones on the right are Elvis.(y)

Same with me Diane. I remember tearing off the plastic on the cover and pulling out a new shiny record! I just loved it when I had a double LP and it would open up to reveal an extra picture!

I still can't get enough of this song and I still play it over and over. It's one of my favorite early songs.
