ELVIS WAS A GREAT SINGER. BUT SOME OF THE MOVIE SONGS HE RECORED WERE JUST PLAIN SILLY. HE IS MY LIST OF THE WORST.
1. A DOGS LIFE
2.I'M NOT THE MARRYING KIND
3.PETUNIA THE GARDNER'S DAUGHTER
4.SCRATCH MY BACK
5.OLD MCDONALD

Not all are bad. But I agree there is quite a few that aren't the best.

I AGREE. ELVIS SANG MANY GOOD MOVIE SONGS. IT IS JUST UNFORTUNATE THAT HE HAD TO RECORD THE BAD SONGS.

I have to agree on that......not all are bad....but there are a few that are silly at the same token.

Old MacDonald is the tops of the silliest songs Elvis had to sing,
as well as Scratch my back, Dominic, Petunia's Gardener's Daughter,
and Confidence as others have mentioned

For me the silliest movie song would be:

Queenie Wahine's Papaya (n)

"Old Macdonald" was definitely the first one that sprang to mind....even today I cringe when I see him singing it....that should have been the moment Elvis just said "okay, that`s it..no more". "Wolf call" definitely also belongs in this category...along with the aforementioned "scratch my back" and "A dogs life". "The song of the shrimp"....I get hooked on that song for ages,I go around singing it to myself for weeks on end...I`m not joking!....I`m a bit of a sucker for those kind of "Calypso" type of songs..I can see Harry Belafonte doing this one!!
Of the title tunes from films...I`ve never been too fond of the song "Girl Happy".

Oh I have a list of them that makes me so upset that they made Elvis sing in those movies...here goes:

A Dog's Life
Barefoot Ballad
Dominic
He's Your Uncle, Not Your Dad
Petunia The Gardener's Daughter
Old MacDonald
Smorgasbord
Yoga Is As Yoga Does

I actually like Wolf Call and Ito Eats.:)

I forgot that one-its not bad enough Elvis had to sing it but Elsa Lancaster a great stage and screen actress had to "mug" her way through it.

Good topic to discuss. Certainly I think that Elvis sang many songs from movies that were not at their height as a singer, but without being good, I think many of them are good at least to dance at a party. I think sometimes we are not too fair to what we think of their songs in films.
But I agree that there are some that are, as we say in my land, "infumables" I don't know how to translate it ... that is not digested well, "jejeje. This is my list:

barefoot ballad
old Macdonald
Petunia's...
Dominic...
I'll still think about this list

Ps: Adam and evil slliest movie song?????????, wow, I adore this song!!!. Little kisses.

It's all just opinion, isn't it? I love the lyrics to Poison Ivy League - the sarcasm is just perfect!

I don't like:
Ito Eats [I also felt sorry for the guy that had to chew along with the song]
Barefoot Ballad
Yoga Is As Yoga Does

I HATE:
Confidence
One Boy Two Little Girls

It's so hard to choose just one as there are quite a few I don't like.
I suppose I'll have to go with the most popular so far 'Old MacDonald'.
If I had to choose another it would be 'Ito Eats', it spoilt the whole Blue Hawaii movie.
