not too keen on an elvis duets cd as i'm usually dissapointed as they mostly don't match the same style of singing as elvis

after hearing wynona Judd on the christmas duets, I think I'd want her to sing the duet ALLC
George Strait - Do You Know Who I am
since Barbara Streisand wanted to act with Elvis, what song should she sing with the KING - Almost, i think
i'd love to hear Bonnie Raitt and Elvis, but i can't narrow down a song - rubberneckin? down In the Alley?, hmm, i'll get back to you on that one!
i like this topic! i think there are a lot of entertainers that wanted to sing with Elvis, very few actually got to.

I don't like the duets idea. I do like the remixes tho. At least Elvis is singing the whole songs and not just parts of it. Besides most Elvis songs weren't meant to be recorded as a duet.
btw the duets album for this year is canceled, or delayed until next year.

Not much for a duets album, especially since Elvis is no longer w/ us.

ELVIS' VOICE STANDS ALONE. I DON'T LIKE DUETS ALBUMS. JUST ANOTHER MONEY MAKING VENTURE!
It looks like the Duets album has been delayed-perhaps until 2011.
On the FECC forum Brian Quinn posted that he was just informed by Sony Music Entertainment that the rumoured Elvis Duets Album which was supposedly scheduled for 2009, has now been delayed until 2010 or 2011. The duets...

If these songs were recorded as duets than OK but so making a duet out of solo recordings, no this ain't my stuff.

Judging by the Christmas Duets album I think they should give up on the idea. It was terrible mistake and another release probably would be too. (n)
The only duet worth listening to is Don't Cry Daddy with Lisa Marie. (y)

The Christmas duets album was incredible, especially santa claus is back in town and merry christmas baby. I hope this new duets album is not dropped altogether. I will buy it.

I bought the CD with the Christmas duets because it was highly recommended to me by somebody. And since I own a Dean Martin duet-CD which is awesome, I thought, well, let's give it a try.
Result: I don't like the Elvis duet-CD! It's not that bad but I wouldn't buy another one.

I bought the Duet Christmas Album, and while I did enjoy one or two of the duets, there were more than a few that just made me cringe. And perhaps it's just paranoia on my part [conspiracy, if you will], the whole thing just makes me feel that there are those in his camp that feel that Elvis will disappear away, if he's not introduced to younger people with current & popular recording artists. [Who, btw, haven't made the test of time yet, IMO]
As far as I'm concerned, Elvis got to this point as a solo-ist. I know there are a lot of artists who would have given anything to be able to perform with him, but they can't - except thru this new technology. so let them do it on their own cds, not an Elvis release.

I love some of the duets. What I've noticed is that he loved singing with others as evidenced by some of the home recordings and rehearsals. With that said, I would have to say that in 2009, I woudln't want to hear a 1985 release of a duet with Elvis and say...Boy George. Once they do these things, we all kinda have to live with them forever.

I am not the least bit interested. Won't matter the songs or duet partners.
