saw this and just wondered if it was true and if so do you know who wrote the new lyrics and who had the idea here is the story as i read it
Elvis and the production team organized a party for Colonel Tom Parker.
It is well-known that the Colonel wanted Elvis to sing one or more Christmas songs
in the special, therefore at this party Elvis sung a parody of the song "It Hurts Me"
with lyrics written especially for the Colonel.
It hurts me to see the budget climb up to the sky
It hurts me ,when Finkle gives me trouble
When i see al my money go,just for one god-damed old t.v show
It hurts me ,the way Finkel spends my dough
The whoe town is talking, they're calling me a fool
For listening to Binder's same old lies
Finkel calls me ,says i;ve got no choice
Then hangs up the phone in that damed rolls royce
It hurts me,when my tears start to flow
They promised me sure,if i would give in
That i would-that i would
Never go wrong
But tell me the truh
Is it too much to ask
For one lousy, tired old christmas song?
