I would love to ask charlie (if he was still alive) what it was like being on stage with elvis??
I would ask what was some good memories of elvis
what was elvis like when he was at home relaxing
how did elvis feel about all the fame
how do you cherish his memory.

Charlie is probably the only one of the MM I feel I could talk to and get straight answers. I really don't know what I'd ask him, I think I would just play it by ear.

I only wish charlie was here to talk to and get his share on things. I got to speak with his wife a few times, she is a really nice person.

I agree with you Diane, except I would ask Charlie why in the world did he tell the bone cancer story. Charlie was a great guy....I hate it for him that the cancer story resulted in a loss of credibility in some people's eyes.:blush:

Yes me too Rosanne. I'm sure at the time he heard it he really believed it. It wasn't hard to look at Elvis the last couple of years of his life and wonder if there was something seriously wrong with him. It wasn't hard for me to believe it either.
I wonder if Kathy Westmorland still believes it?

Sadly, Kathy still believes every word of the false bone cancer story.

I have no questions for them at all.

Just a guess here:
Maybe he really believed it-that could be the answer.
Nick says Elvis had neck and spine arthritis-so he must have had some pain and maybe even Elvis (the medical book reader) worried that regular pains from regular ailments was something more like bone cancer-so Charlie thought so. Arthritis pain is sometimes unbearable when it grabs you and won't let up.
