Check out these amazing concert clips from his November 71 tour. IMO this was the last time he was at full force with energy and electricity as a live performer.

Great Footage. Elvis continued to give many electrifying performances throughout the 70s. Despite his health problems he could still thrill a crowd. The Hamptons road concert April 9 1972 concert AMERICAN TRILOGY - (AMAZING) and December 28 1976 Dallas,Texas concert - HURT (AMAZING). Both were electric performances with elvis full of energy and his voice very powerful.

Here's a tip.

If you go directly do this clips on youtube, you can watch them in hi-resolution.
Looks a bit better.

Thanks Tomek for creating these masterpieces. (y)

As for my comment about this being the last time he was this energetic, let me rephrase it. In 71 he was very committed to the shows as was the case for 69 and 70 as well. But it seemed that following his separation that he grew tired and bored of performing at times. Sure there were some flashes of old from 73-77 but not quite as much as in 71. 72 had many flashes but not consistently. Plus in 71 he would be in his best shape vocally and physically that he would ever be in again.

Yea I think 1971 would be great to film it for "Elvis On Tour" :-)

He moved great, he looked great, and still got this power we can see in TTWII.
He didn't move that way later, even in super rockin' 1972 shows.

Just look at Lovin' Feelin' or Suspicious Minds.
