I would say joe esposito. He remained with Elvis throughout his whole life. And even today always talks about elvis with great respect and is very honest in his assessment good and bad.

Look forward to your comments

Joe Esposito I think wants to steal the spotlight sometimes. I think all of the bodyguards hired in the 50s and 60s were loyal, as loyal as you could be to Elvis.

Joe Esposito was a rat - he informed The Colonel of the goings-on of Elvis and the other MM, behind their backs. Diamond Joe indeed!

Most loyal to Elvis: Billy Smith. Hands down. No one even comes close. He's kept pretty quiet over the years, has never sucked up to Lisa and EPE (well, hello Jerry!) and maintains a quiet dignity.

Too Me Joe Esposito One best and Charlie Hodge is another one, Red West in second place

I don't think So, Joe Go To colonel Liked that way, I talk With Joe by e-mail in 1999 and there things are say that not true We never know Real true Story of Elvis life, we never will,
Billy Smith He Not Real part Of Memphis mafia, He Been Cousin Of Elvis
That he not good person Or Bad person, there sonmething about them, I don't liked, he not wrote a book about Elvis Or something, he used elvis name somehow or way liked anothers , we haven't know about it.

I think That Red West done good for Himself after Elvis death, He Was In TV Series Few Years and In good Few Movies

Charlie Hodge , He is sweet person , there nothing bad about Him. I think he one keep Elvis going last years On tours.

Charlie Hodge gets my vote. He absolutely loved the ground Elvis walked on and was about as loyal of a friend as anyone could have! So many people make fun of Charlie but he was sincere as a friend!

Charlie Hodge and Jerry Schilling (sorry Teddy!) would be the most loyal of the MM, although none of the boys were completely innocent of any misgivings. Gail, you're correct - Charlie worshipped the ground that Elvis walked on and Jerry has always come across as having a deep respect for Elvis as a friend and man. Red West seems like a man who was loyal as was Joe, but then you get into EWH and the contridictory stories told by Joe.

But overall, I would say Charlie and Jerry.

Don't forget that cousin Billy sold him out by taking part in the book 'Revelations of The Memphis Mafia' which took some cheap shots at Elvis' personal lifestyle. IMO the most loyal would have to be Charlie Hodge followed by GK. Schilling would be up there too. Also you could add Pat perry to the list of loyal. She was officially the only female member of the Memphis Mafia. The others I would have to say no to. Especially the sneaky 3.(n)

It is BOTH my opinion and fact.

Joe was The Colonel's mole inside the MM.

Look it up. It's probably easier for you to read what Joe himself said on the matter.

And what "cheap shots" exactly are you talking about in the book? What specific shots came from Billy? You were asked that previously, when you were here earlier, but you did not respond.

And again, welcome back.

There few us don't have All Books on Elvis or Read Them, because some All them Are junk, I used To read them one time 15 years ago ...., That's We don't Get right Story or the real true story, I was lucky to Read few them and added things up,
I see All Books about Elvis Life is Junk, the one are new. so there no 100% Story about someone.
I think Few us Want To Hate Memphis Mafia, What Happened To Elvis That Last few Years is Elvis Himself, We Can't Change That or Blame The Memphis Mafia, this I have To Say last Time On this tread

Charlie and Jerry, are two men I like from the MM, a lot.

Patti Parry is a scream, down to earth, says it how it is, and loyal, she would be incredible fun to be around, I like her, a lot. I'd love to meet Patti (y)

People who read books (including me), what is thought is only an opinion from personal experiences and outlook, and going on the opinion of someone else who wrote the book, "not admissable in Court", lol, as someone wise has quoted before. (y):D:lmfao::king:

When I lived in Memphis I got to meet Charlie, Jerry and GK on a few occasions and Red. I never cared to meet the 3 Snitches. I also met Vester and got to spend some time talking with him which I learned alot about Elvis. He used to sit in the Record store at the Graceland Plaza and sign autographs.

Joe Esposito was not the most loyal to Elvis - in spite of what you might think. As Getlo has truthfully pointed out, Joe Esposito was nothing but a spy and snitch for Colonel Parker in regards to Elvis and he (Esposito) would tell Parker every move that Elvis made - and this finally got him fired from the group for a brief time in the 1960s. Unfortunately, he took Joe back.

And yes, this has been documented in books.

Joe also sued Elvis over the racquetball court deal in the mid-1970s.

Loyal? I beg to differ!

If there was anyone (besides his parents, of course) who was loyal to Elvis I would pin that on Billy Smith. He was the one that Elvis spent the most time with in the last 18-24 months of his life - up to eighteen hours a day.

Dr. Nick also sued Elvis over the racquetball building.

Apparently, Elvis tried to back out of the deal because they were using his name without his permission.

I still say Joe was nothing but a snitch and spy and one of the most unloyal members of the Memphis Mafia towards Elvis.

It wasn't over the racquetball building. It was over a youth center using Elvis' name and money without his permission (something like that) that they sued over and they didn't sue Elvis to begin with. You can't believe everything you read. There's been so much negativity spread about Elvis over the years that it's hard to separate truth from facts.

In my opinion Charlie Hodge really was his friend

To me i surely do not want a friend like Joe who would later tell the public i died in the bathroom (does not sound like a true friend to me)
Jerry seems to be loyal to Pricilla and Lisa, not to Elvis

Well, I'll use Elvis's judgement to decide that. There was one person Elvis spent the most time with at the ending of his life. There was one person who he spent his last hours with, talking, taking care of and saying I love you to. There was one person who from childhood to the end (with only a short break) that Elvis choose to spend intimate times with. There was one person Elvis knew in his heart that he promised a lifetime of loyalty to. There was one person I know with out a doubt in my mind, that loved and cared for Elvis, no matter what. One person who sacrificed a lot that people are not aware of. One person Elvis truely knew and appreciated those sacrifices. One person who never turned on Elvis, one person who Elvis never let stray to far from him. That was Billy. Their bond, connection went beyond friendship. It was kinship. Family meant a lot to Elvis. Those two took care of each other. Those two had the deepest connection to each other. Elvis lost a lot of people in his life from times to time.
All you have to do is use Elvis's words and actions and the answer is there.
If you think that by going along with writing Revelations means he wasn't a true friend and loved one, so be it. But untill you hear from Billy's mouth as to why he did...It would be an assumption. Money was not the reason. I will testify to that.

And I will stand in agreement with you on that, Missy. Billy Smith is the one that Elvis 'shot the straightest with', so to speak - especially (as I mentioned earlier) in the last couple of years of his life.

Your insight on this subject is very much appreciated, Ma'am.

Nope, never did and doubt he will. But some of us know more. I doubt anything I say would help. And it's just something, I wouldn't break a confidence in anyway.
But I do think Charlie was a good man, a good friend too.
