Which Version Do You Prefer?

Which version of Elvis' "Funny How Time Slips Away" do you prefer?The studio or live versions?

i prefer the 1970 version from Elvis Country. It is sung beautifully and is one of my favourite tracks. But i also like the live version Elvis performed on 22-08-1969 it was refreshing to hear a new song performed. I guess this is like that other classic song i'm leavin which was hard to recapture when performed live.

Yeah,I like the Elvis Country version too. I'm really not a big fan of live recordings. I like a more intiment controlled inviroment on recordings.

For me it's the studio version. You can hear there his tired voice after the second verse. The result is a"emotional" record you can't reach live on stage.

I actually prefer the studio version, mainly due to the fine guitar work, but the live version from 1969 is pretty cool too (y)

I prefer the live versions...for some reason, I've always thought the tempo on the studio version was a little too slow... :blush:
