Elvis recording in Newyork?

Hi everyone

I heard D.J. Fontana once say in an interview that Elvis didn't like to record in Newyork so after the 56 sessions he never recorded there again

In the intertview DJ. never said why Elvis didn't like recording in Newyork so does anyone here know why?

I've heard that he didn't like the city and the way the people looked at him. I have no idea if it is true though.

Mybe he just felt like a fish out of water in New York in the 50s.
He may have not felt comfortable and that carried over into the studio.
