I am not against what some people are doing with some of the original songs of Elvis provided the song retain its originality. It would be nice to hear Elvis singing with an enhance musical accompaniment or even vocal background using the wonder of the modern audio technology. I appreciate the updated version of "I"ll be home for Christmas" from the Christmas Duet CD. I wish they do more justice in updating whatever Elvis song they picked for the sake of preserving its originality and historical value.

If they are like the "spankbox" or whatever the name is... It won't be good. Some mixes are good anyway. :)

[COLOR="Magenta"]I LIKED "RUBBERNECKIN" AND "LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION" REMIXES. IF THEY ARE FOR JUST ENHANCING THE SOUND QUALITY I DON'T MIND AS LONG AS THEY DON'T ALTER ELVIS' VOICE OR THE ORIGINALITY OF THE SONG.

I have that cd Elvis vs Spankox.I think it's great!I agree however you pronounce it? Spandox? When they came out with "a little less conversation" it was great! IMO, it is the only way this younger generation will get into Elvis. Even my rap loving nephews think the remixes are the best Elvis versions.:lmfao:Bunch of hard heads!:lmfao:

I see that Wendy56 spelled spankbox.I had to double check. If that`s what it take to get the younger generation `into` Elvis why not.

I think its sad that in Europe many of Elvis's songs have lost the copyright protection after 50 years-and so anybody with a cheap recording set-up can not try a hand at it and sell it. That said-I like some things-but feel that it should be kept at a minimum. Quality of production and the talent involved in making these things should be at a top drawer level. IMO

Did they post a press release announcing this? I don't recall any mention of it in the News section here at TCB?

i think that the remix of ALLC opened peoples eyes to Elvis in a positive way. We know how good he was, how diverse his music was but a lot of the general public don't. ALLC always was a funky song the remix only enhanced that. For a song the get to number one in so many countries is amazing. I think it bought more people to Elvis than anything else recently and that's always a good thing.

I don't really know the name of that CD... Just wrote what came to my mind. :P I heard this cd online and didn't like it. There are some better mixes on YouTube done by real Elvis fans. They can introduce Elvis to new young fans too and not only what EPE brings.
