How fast is this website for you

With the evergrowing possibilities to offer new content and options to our members, I am interested in how fast the website is for you. Besides voting on the poll, could you also give some more info like what internet connection you have?


I have a 20mb/s connection and although the website is hosted in the US and I live in the Netherlands, the website is most of the times very fast for me. Text, images, avatars, etc. are almost instantly shown.

I was with Firefox for a little while and that was pretty fast. Now I've gone back to IE 7 because I wanted the options for music on Yahoo Messenger.
Anyway, I'm in no mad rush. :D

It loads quite fast for me most of the time and only slows down from page to page once in a while.

Works as fast as I need it to most of the time.....no complaints really though. I have noticed that sometimes it can take a long time to vote in the polls....and for some reason I very often don`t see the actual poll bars for quite a while.....other than that it works fine.....except when I get stuck on youtube videos...and I don`t think that is your site`s fault!....All in all...a happy camper!!(y)

I have a 2000 kBit/s connection and it loads quite fast most of the time, pictures take a little bit longer to load, but nothing to speak of - no complaints :D

It loads pretty fast for me, but sometimes it's slow going to different sections or threads. I also sometimes get the exceeded usage or page not displayed, but it's not an everyday occurence. Thanks, for asking Albert. ;)

With many people on the site, we require too much resources from the server. So instead of letting it slow down all other sites hosted on the server (or permanently suspend us), we get suspended just a few minutes.

suspended for a few minutes is alot better than getting suspended permanently;)

I totally agree.(y) This site has become a much bigger part of my life that I ever expected it to be. I would miss it terribly if we couldn't gather here as friends to discuss things.
