tired of the Priscilla bashing. Did he love her? Did she love him? I mean it's more than fine if you don't like her or think the answer to both questions is no. But come on, how would you feel if people where always saying things like some of the stuff that is said about her all the time? I don't care if you like her or not or if you agree with things she has done. We're all human and make mistakes. I don't have anything against her and I personally believe that they loved each other very much. And I also think the way Elvis was after she left was proof of how he loved her and alot of the things she's done to keep his legacy alive is proof of how she loved and still loves him. Again I don't care if you agree with me or not. I'm just tired of all the bashing about her and others.

What turns me away from Pris is her attutde....When I first started studying Elvis I really felt bad for her...I read Elvis and Me when I was 11 or so that was the first book I read about him! But when I saw the lies she told about him and their relationship it really turned me against her..Here she was by her own admission "the Carrier of the Presley flame" and what does she do she bashes him just the same.

I know he was at fault just as she was and u will not hear me say different. It takes two to tango (no pun on DWTS)....But she is here to tell the story and he is not! If she loved him as much as she says she never would have wrote that book with the lies it tells....Currie Grant took a lie detector test and he passed so that is at least one thing she lied about...And to accuse a man of trying to rape you is just about as bad as it can get. Just like Elvis "forcefully had sex with her" And those are her own words.

For me that are some of the reasons I dislike her.....Graceland was doing well at the time so I wonder what her real intentions were...She says it was to "debunk" Albert Goldman's book, but she says things that are just as bad as what he says. So I doubt that.

And if I am wrong I will be the first to admit it...

I agree with what you said. But at the same time I look at the posts I do cause they look interesting and it's fun to see what kinds of things we Elvis fans have in common or don't have in common.

I think everyone is fine too if you like her, including me. In the almost 3 years that I have been a member here I have never seen a thread complaining about other members supporting Priscilla. The rest of us were doing the same as you, giving our opinion so I don't get your point.

But you have to admit that if anybody had the audacity to speak about Elvis with some of the venom which is demonstrated here towards Priscilla they would be set upon like a gazelle walking into a bar full of cheetahs.

It ought to be acceptable to defend anyone who we consider worthy of a defense. I'm not saying we should censor ourselves on this forum but we should certainly be prepared to sustain a counter attack if the 'opinions' which we have are likely to upset certain members. That's just the risk we take if our 'opinions' are potentially offensive. ;)
