:D Elvis had blue eyes ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh there beautiful sigh.
i probably say there some pictures that were touch up's why his eyes looks brown in some photoes but over all he was one handsome guy. plus if u look at pics of priscilla , Lisa and Elvis there eyes in some pictures looks brown to but there really blue. it also could be due to lights in the room or the camera . and now thinking about Elvis blue eyes wow i think i should go take a cold shower lol (y)

His eyes were a bluish/light hazel. They were were the color that changes with what you are wearing...sometimes looking more blue than others.:D

They did look blue more often than the brown color.

Hazel would be the safest bet. ;)

You want to know what his eye color was?
Check out the close ups in Blue Hawaii, when Elvis does Beach Boy Blues in the slammer and you will have your answer.

I heard a early interview from the 50's on youtube Elvis did, and when asked the question on his height, and colour eyes, Elvis replied 6ft even to his height, and blue/grey to the answer to the eye colour.

I think it is safe to say that Elvis' eye color is blue and that typically, people with blue eyes tend to have their eyes change with the light, color of clothing, etc. His military records have him at 5'11" 1/2. I will never understand why people seem to want to make a big deal out of his height, almost like Elvis would lie about his height to make himself look larger.

What do you mean "almost"?

He did lie (exaggerate) about it. He never reached 6ft.

As for the eyes: naturally hazel. The blue in some photos is either changes due to lighting; changed by what he was wearing or - in some cases - direct manipulation by the publicity machine.

Under normal circumstances, they were hazel, leaning towards green.

I donīt know why he says his eyes would be blue & green. His eyes look only blue to me. Itīs the most beautiful eye color Iīve ever seen. And I think his eyes are only brown on some photos because of the light. Iīm sure his eyes are blue :!:

It took me ages to find the youtube interveiw, but I'll try and find it again! I agree in a lot of his photo's they do look very very blue studio's in those days did wonderful things with photo's not taking away the fact that Elvis was the best looking man I have ever seen to date! But for some reason to be 6ft, have dark hair and blue eyes was the thing in the 50's-60's just look at some of the other stars of the day, Steve Mcqeen, Paul newman( yes they did have blonde hair) Rock hudson, Tony curtus, at the end of the day we all have our opinions, it doesn't take away the fact that Elvis was and still is the King, with blue or grey/blue eyes.

Eyes can't change from blue to brown. It's just the lighting from the cameras and some photos are touched up. Blue eyes that change to grey or green are called hazel and that's what Elvis' eyes were. They changed according to what he was wearing or the lighting around him..our son's does the same and he has the same colour of eyes that Elvis had. True blue eyes are rare and don't change. I think Paul Newman was one of the few who had them and I may be wrong there.

I also think eyes can't change from blue to brown, but I agree Elvis had Hazle, or blue/grey eyes(his words not mine)

With Getlo, I say Hazel is the safest answer. Some photo's they look brown, many they look blue, some hazel greenish....

We can't go by photos because so many are touched up and I saw him close up in person. His eyes were grayish/blue which is called light hazel. Greenish brown eyes are dark hazel. I took several years of art classes and they drilled colours into us so this is where I get my information from.

Thanks for that definition of light and dark hazel eyes Diane. (Always thought mine were just grey/blue but I guess I'm light hazel which doesn't sound so boring!!:lmfao:)
Never liked the brown eyed elvis photo's, they lacked that certain sparkle ;)

Last night after re-reading the response to my last post on this thread, I took out several of my DVD's featuring Elvis and I am sorry to say, but in each one - the '68 Special, Blue Hawaii, TTWII, among others, his eyes do appear to be blue. (My husband has blue eyes, which change from blue to gray, to a greenish color all depending on what he is wearing, but they are, for all purposes, blue.) As for Elvis, I will stand by my original post saying that Elvis' eyes were blue.

As far as his height, which can change depending on shoes, the military has him listed as 5'11" 1/2 (without shoes), which in the US, is just shy of 6 feet. I am aware that after the army, he wore shoes and inserts that made him appear taller than 5'11" 1/2, but for all intensive purposes, the man, in the American customary units was nearly 6 feet tall.

The interview I heard, I know I own this one, but I can't for the life of me find it!, Elvis states that his eyes are hazel. Apparently, he loves keeping us all guessing! :lmfao:
