I just listened to the new Madison-CD "Hillcrest Blues" and I must say that this one is really essential.
What we get to hear is the complete "mock session" that Elvis and his band held for the MGM cameras, who wanted to film the King during a recording session. And although the real session was over, Elvis worked seriously on the songs. There are many takes of "For The Good Times" on the disc, but also "Burning Love", "Always On My Mind", "Separate Ways", "Johnny B. Goode" and "A Big Hunk O' Love" can be heard. Besides that Elvis sings some one-liners and jokes around a little bit.
But the best thing is, that we get the whole session in perfect stereo sound. So all I want to say to the "Madison" team is: :notworthy
